Hell In Normandy (1968)

Italian-made film dealing with an allied raid on a German bunker in order to put it out of action prior to the D Day landings. Needless to say, our heroes succeed in their mission. Difficult to follow what's going on for much of the time, owing to the barely competent script, the poor picture quality, and the fact that a lot of the action seems to take place in semi-darkness.

The dvd on which I watched this film was one of 50 in a box set of war movies released by 'Treeline Films'. They seem to specialize in unrestored, out-of-copyright films of very mediocre quality, so it wasn't a great surprise to find that it's on YouTube. I bet most of the box set is also there as well.

But what is your opinion?

It was a horror film combining fears of the post 9/11 years and blowback from humans messing with the earth. I would not pay full price to see it in a theater. but since it is part of my HBO Max package it was worth my time.

Anonymous Animals.

Low budget but very good horror film where human beings are hunted, or sent to a slaughter house, or forced to fight each other by seeming human-animal hybrids. No happy ending.
