Live Again, Die Again (1974)

An American made-for-TV movie starring Donna Mills and Walter Pidgeon. A few IMDB reviewers seem to think this is a half-decent effort, but they must have pretty low expectations in that case. A woman who died in around 1940 and was cryogenically preserved is revived three and a half decades later - it sounds interesting, but instead of examining the potentially fascinating scientific and moral implications of this, or reflecting on the changes in society and their psychological impact on the patient, the film turns in on itself and gets bogged down with the woman's rather boring dysfunctional family and their internal conflicts. Gets pretty heated at the end with a murder and some general mayhem, but I couldn't really bring myself to care very much.

Last night I watched:

Infestation [2009]
<=>"Prepare for Global Swarming"

OK. It is not a great film. But it is good and quite watchable, if you want this kind of film. I also find it to be quite rewatchable.

Filmed in Bulgaria...but until you see the credits you'd probably suspect Colorado.

Princess Diaries 1 and 2.

An enjoyable repeat viewing.

Last night I watched:

Dracula [2006]
<=>"A chilling new adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic story." This is their tagline not my opinion!
<=>"A chillingMasterpiece [1971–present] TV series made-for-TV movie.

Eh. OK, I guess.

Varies significantly from Bram Stoker's novel—not necessarily an improvement.

Lemora

My opinion, this is a low budget film, but I think it's effective for the resources they had to work with. I've always enjoyed the ending. I'm left the feeling of sadness and a bit of horror, but more sadness.

The first time I saw it, I came away thinking "what did I just see?" but in the movie's defense, at the time I saw it on Comet TV. It was a couple years ago, and I came in half way through. It's got a "vibe" to it, like Carnival of Souls has a feel to it.

Green Lantern: Fear My Power.

Animated DC movie, with John Stewart becoming the new Green Lantern finding himself and Green Arrow thrown into an intergalactic conflict verging on genocide, with an unexpected villain.
