Yeah, it held my interest.

It is a rather grim subject matter - suicide, death, afterlife. But I don't feel it was depressing in any way.

That is good to know. I might watch it.

Last night I watched:

Teenagers from Outer Space [1959]
<=>"They blast the flesh off humans!"

OK, the script might not be very good, but it was much better than the acting...though in most cases it is a stretch to call it "acting". When they got out of their spaceship for the first time on Earth they brought some equipment out...one device was clearly labelled (in English!) "MULTICHANNEL MIXER".

Oh, the "teenagers" looked to be in their mid to late 20s. And they brought a monster with them. Before they released it it looked like a lobster-sized lobster but it grew rapidly and became a very large black silhouette of a lobster. And, for some reason, all of the human skeletons had some kind of attachment on the top of the skull that looks like it would've been handy to hang the skeletons in a classroom.

It's current IMDb rating is 3.8. The Maltin guide calls it a BOMB.

I call it:Not a good movie!-NOT RECOMMENDED!-

The Menu
Very good and delicious film. I laughed a lot and it had a message about the class system in america.

Slumberland.
It was rubbish. Jason Momoa's character was annoying.

Ever After.
This one felt like a guilty pleasure. Recommended.

Scenes from The Wife with Glenn Close.

My go-to when I need to cry.

Black Rain (1989)

Wow, what a treat. Visually sublime.
