^ Apart from the film referred to above, I've only seen her in Run Lola Run, and to be honest I can't remember very much, if anything, from that., except that she may have had shorter (and very red) hair in that particular movie.

Last night we watched: In A Different Key [2020]

It is a documentary on Autism. IMDb describes it like this: "A mother tracks down the first person ever diagnosed with autism to a rural Mississippi town to learn whether his life story holds promise for her own autistic son."

Autism is a Spectrum disorder and that is reflected in this documentary. Every Autistic is different but I think any Autistic is likely to see at least bits of themself reflected in this documentary. However, I don't think the documentary spent much time looking at the high and low ends of severity...but rather the great variety between them.

-1- In it we do meet the first person diagnosed with [Kanner] Autism. He seems like a really nice guy!

-2- Alex Plank appears briefly.

Did you watch this on PBS? I'm trying to find it and found it aired on PBS on December 13.
Yes. We watched it on PBS on December 13. I don't currently see anything on their website saying when they might rebroadcast it.

I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your post. We were away from home.

Last night we watched:

Santa's Slay [2005]
<=>"Spreading holiday fear this Christmas."

Santa is REAL! And, um, he's actually aDEMON!
But he lost a bet and had to be nice for one thousand years.

A low budget but viewable film.

Low budget enough that they couldn't afford reindeer. Instead they got one buffalo and powdered it so it was white. A buffalo seemed to work in the role, though, since Santa was played by a professional wrestler.

A professional wrestler made a good Santa since Santa was actually actually aDEMON! The wrestler worked so well that apparently his voice scared the buffalo!

I got to pick the movie. I think my bride tolerated this choice because we spent several days out of town visiting her family.

Barbara Steele was certainly one of the most renowned horror actresses of the 1960s, but to the best of my knowledge she was never in any of the Hammer films.

I have good news for you. As far as I can tell it's still available for streaming on the PBS website, and won't be pulled till January 10th.

Yep, and he appears to be having a lot of fun. Additionally, Robert Culp has a significant part, Fran Drescher has a small part, and "Tiny" Lister appears—and all three smile a lot.

Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)

Complicated this one...
The stunts were creative. It seemed there was an idea.
Then came the dildos and plugs. And in the end it all came down to simple social agenda, failing to explore the bigger idea about self.

I want to see this one.

Last night we watched:

The Darkest Hour [2011]
<=>"The Invasion Begins Christmas Day"

Released in the U.S. on Christmas Day 2011. Ads for it emphasized Christmas. When I went to see the film I was expecting some kind of Christmas movie. Wrong! The only thing Christmasy about the film was when it was released.

Correct genre: Aliens invade Earth causing lots of death, destruction, and special effects...filmed in Moscow.

A terrible Christmas movie. A polished, good-but-not-great, shallow science fiction movie.

If you would likely enjoy a polished, good-but-not-great, shallow, Aliens invade Earth causing lots of death, destruction, and special effects science fiction movie then I recommend it.
