Charley Says.

The women involved in the Manson murders must come to terms with the horrific crimes they had committed for Charles Manson. Very good psychological movie.

Last night I watched:

House of Frankenstein [1944]
<=>"A CHAMBER OF Horror!"

Not spectacular but quite watchable.

I don't know why, but of the sequels, this is maybe one of my favorites. I think it is because I saw an abridged 16mm showing just at the right time of my growing interest in Universal horror movies in the late sixties. Then again on television on the Saturday night creature feature. It wasn't until later, when I saw Frankenstein, that I realized how incredible Boris Karloff's monster was. Boris's performance was so much more... re-animated. Still, nothing but respect for Glenn Strange. Like you said, it is quite watchable.

Tonight:

Hardcore Harry - No complaints, it was entertaining and the humor helped keep the 1st person view engaging.

The Raid 2 - It was okay, liked The Raid: Redemption more.

Some 1970s-style ethnic and sexual humor.

The Night Stalker (1972)

The vampire, not the serial killer, although a vampire is a kind of serial killer.

Spoiler?

The Night Strangler (1973)

IMDB: description wrote:
A reporter hunts down a 144-year old alchemist who is killing women for their blood.

I remember so well how excited I was when this first aired. It a horror movie made for television. It had Al Lewis, John Carradine, and Margarette Hamilton in it, each known for their role in horror history. Especially John Carradine. I can see them in broader terms 50 years later. But back then I had horror tunnel vision.

The Night Strangler is an entertaining horror mystery. Darren McGavin and Simon Oakland are perfect together. Part of me hopes their off screen relationship was as good as their onscreen chemistry.

Unlike The Night Stalker, Carl Kolchak's romantic interest is closer to his age. Carol Lynley was twenty years his junior. Jo Ann Pfug is only eighteen years his junior.

I looked for clips, but could only find the full movie on YouTube. This was listed too. It's interesting.

She Said - 2022 movie about the New York Times reporters who helped expose Harvey Weinstein.
Plodding at times but documents the intimidated wall of silence he created among his victims.

Vanilla Sky - 2001 Tom Cruse vehicle
Tried to cram multiple genres into one movie and made a mess.
