Father Of Flies.

A boy and his older sister are troubled by the suicide of their mentally ill mother, and how their father has taken up with a cold Englishwoman who wears some sort mask with a cord. Soon, it becomes apparent something evil is in the boy's room at night, and that something is not right about the girlfriend, despite what his father thinks. What's really happening is unexpected. Both frightening and heart wrenching.

RiffTrax Live: RAD (2023)

Watched last night at the theater. So, it actually was live.

The movie they riffed was the 1986 classic with Bart Conner and Lori Loughlin, Rad

It is about a BMX biker competition for official sponsor backed bikers. There is one underdog, the local lower-class paperboy, Bart Taylor (Bart Conner), who through hard work and pure moxy... I don't want to give away the ending or that he and the #1 female very fancy bike rider, Christine (Lori Loughlin), form a friendship/romantic relationship. They just seem to hit it off.

Bart Conner, now 37 years older (65 years old), attended the RiffTrax event held in Nashville. I watched it simulcasted. Also, I watched it for the jokes, not the movie, but the movie was not that bad. It was simple, but not truly bad.

Ray Walston was in it. You may know him from My Favorite Martian, the 1960's TV show with Bill Bixby orthe 1958 film South Pacific.

Would I recommend Rad, the movie? If you have a Saturday afternoon with nothing to do, and are bored, and can find it streaming somewhere? Sure.

Would I recommend the RiffTrax Live version? If you are a fan of RiffTrax or Mystery Science Theater 3000, or Cinematic Titanic, or The Film Crew, or if you feel adventurous, and you have the disposable income to download it from the RiffTrax website when it is available? Yes.

Barbie was funny. I cringed at parts, but like.... it was like that intentionally I think. Dumb on purpose kinda thing.

Cocaine Bear

My NT sister rented a DVD and we watched it with our mom.
We enjoyed this movie with its funny parts in it despite all the f-bombs.

IMO, this film could obtain cult status.

A Room in Rome

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1263750/

I don't know how you could take a movie about a hookup with two hawt lesbians, and make it boring, but they did.

I also watched The Tempest

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1274300

This one I liked. An entertaining film adaptation of the Shakespeare play.

Feed Me.

British horror/comedy. A suicidally depressed widower is convinced by a cannibal to allow said cannibal to eat him, piece by piece. In their odd relationship, a friendship almost develops - - almost. Very funny, but not for the weak of stomach.
