^^
A fan of the work by Almodovar?
His new movie, The Skin I Live In, is set for release very soon.

Yesterday, I saw Our Idiot Brother.

Hilarious, and I saw a lot of myself in Ned, the lead character.
Except I'm not a hippie.

This afternoon, my wife and I watched Sergio Argento's Mother Of Tears. It really wasn't a good movie, but I just wanted to complete Argento's horror movie trilogy, which includes Suspiria, and Inferno. Needless to say, there was an abundance of gore, and a storyline that didn't always make sense, which is what Argento is best known for.

Sin City was on TV last night. I didn't pay enough attention to get the plot but I like the cinematography.

Cube (1997)
Some of the compartments were quite devious. Overall I consider it to be a good movie.

Cowboys & Aliens, for a second time. It is a pretty good film with only a little wrong with it, unlike most movies which are often the opposites. Also, this movie is rather original, which is also opposite to most movies made within the last decade.

I hated Cube, but I think the director would appreciate the way that I hated it. It had a lot more substance than other horror movies I've seen, but I don't really care for the genre.

I would like to see the new Almodovar, but I'll have to drive to another town, or wait for the disk.

I just watched The Family Game. I found it entertaining and thought-provoking. I really wish Netflix had some movies directed by Jûzô Itami.

The Last Lullaby

Saw it on Netflix. Stars Tom Sizemore and Sasha Alexander. It starts off as the typical hitman-hired-to-kill-girl-but-falls-in-love-instead story, but there are a couple of interesting twists. Not heavy on action, but I thought it was pretty well done.

Rain Fall

Based on the book by Barry Eisler. I'm a fan of the series (though I haven't read them in a while...I need to get caught up). John Rain is a Japanese-American man living in Japan. Former Special Forces, currently works as an assassin who specializes in making his hits look like accidents or death-by-natural-causes. He finds out his "work" is part of a much bigger conspiracy with potentially devastating consequences. I thought it was a decent movie. Don't expect a lot of action, but when it happens it's pretty good. Also available from Netflix.

I finally got to see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo this evening, after reading so much about it.
I thought that the movie had started off too slow, and that the anti-climax at the end was much too drawn out, but the middle was actually pretty decent. As Hollywood has a fetish with Americanizing Scandinavian crime dramas, I'd like to see what they do with this one.

I watched Source Code today. It wasn't bad but it wasn't impressive either.
