Last night we watched:

The Giant Spider [2013]
<=>"Eight creeping, crawling legs of sheer TERROR!"

Eighth movie in the Mihmiverse.

HUMOR

And, let me clarify. From what I've read and seen I think it is fair to say that the Mihmverse films are parodies of 1950's Science Fiction movies but I don't believe you need to be too familiar with those films to enjoy the Mihmverse. If you have had some exposure to the 1950's Science Fiction films then the HUMOR in the Mihmverse will be what I think you will enjoy.

I enjoy 1950's Science Fiction movies; my bride can sometimes tolerate one or two of them but generally does not like them. But we are both very entertained by the Mihmverse films we've seen so far.

This film seems like a 1950s B movie. It might actually be a bit more polished than the other Mihmverse films we've already seen...possibly edging toward too polished?.

...but, like I said above, we both enjoyed this film!

Juno: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0467406/

and

Mysterious Island of Beautiful Women: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079598

Both are good, depending on your mood.

Alien Romulus.

Workers treated like indentured servants on a mining planet seek to escape the villainous company (responsible for all deaths in every Alien movie) by reaching a decommissioned space station, when they find the crew had been slaughtered by alien Xenomorphs. There, they discover the company's insidious plot to create Xenomorph/human hybrids for space colonization. Worse, not only is an Ian Holm android, brought back to life, bent on carrying out the company's schemes, but Xenomorphs have turned the doomed station into a hive.
First rate addition to the Alien franchise.

We moved on and watched:

The Late Night Double Feature [2014]

It was one movie pretending to be a double feature of two movies:
X: The Fiend from Beyond Space
The Wall People

Ninth movie in the Mihmiverse.

Because the Mihmiverse is good!

I confess I had to rewatch The Wall People portion of the film just as I had had to rewatch House of Ghosts [2012]. And I see a pattern! Both had a heavy flavoring of fantasy! They'd still be the kind of movie associated with 1950's B-movies in the Sci-Fi realm...but with a lot of fantasy stirred in.

I finally got around to watching Bitter Moon

Roman Polanski never disappoints.
