Yesterday I did indeed see Tower Heist.

Should this be considered Eddie Murphy's "comeback movie?"

Yes, this should and he & Ben Stiller have really good chemistry.
If Eddie Murphy keeps it up, then he may eventually win back his audience.

Tea Leoni and Matthew Broderick are really good at being scene-stealers.
I laughed so loud hearing cuss words come out of Matthew Broderick's mouth.

Gabouey Sidibe, Alan Alda, Casey Affleck, and Michael Pena deliver good performances as well.

The other day, my wife and I watched Full Metal Jacket. I had seen it before (in fact, when it was first released in theaters), but my wife never had. She had always wanted to see it, not only because everyone's always raved about it as a great movie, but because of the cultural influences it's had -such as, "Me so horny! Me love you long time!" and R. Lee Ermy leading the marine recruits in song, "This is my rifle, this is my gun! This is for shooting, this is for fun!" She very much enjoyed the film.

I've been meaning to get around to watching that, I've been a fan of Jake since he did Donnie Darko, I also enjoyed him in Brothers, great actor.

I'm going to put that on my list. I saw a trailer and forgot to make a note of it.

We just got finished watching The Informant. Very good movie, watching Matt Damon go from a likeable, if putzy guy who appears to just want to do the right thing, to a pathological liar and thief.

Ghostbusters, the first one. I thought I would really like it, especially since I have liked Bill Murray and Dan Akroyd in other movies and a comedy story involving ghosts seems right up my alley (I'm a fan of Beetlejuice).

But to my disappointment I wound up feeling bored and hardly ever laughing at the jokes. Oh well, better luck with the next thing I decide to watch.

When i first saw Ghost Busters, and granted I was quite a bit younger, I was laughing for half an hour after we left the theater over the giant marshmallow man.

I just came back from watching Breaking Dawn and for the first time ever I think I liked the movie more than the book. Not that the movie was great.

Tangled - Initially wasn't sure whether or not I would like it, but I'm happy to report that yes, I do indeed like it. I like it very much. :D I thought it was very cute and sweet. And the scene during the song "I See the Light" was so pretty it sent chills down my spine! I also enjoyed the action and comedy parts.

Battle: Los Angeles - Has been on the movie channels like 5 times a day so decided to record it and watch it. I will say that it kept me up through to the end, but over-all it was just meh. Mediocre at best. It seemed like they tried too hard to make it all serious and epic war movie like and broke up the fighting and action scenes with stupid non-poignant chit-chat that was painfully cheesy, ruining the flow of what would have otherwise been an OK mindless action flick.

The Last Circus - Easily one of the best films I've seen in years. Just watch the trailer for an idea (it's a red band trailer though, be for-warned). Imagine a movie that's a love child of Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Tarantino.
