I watched X-files episode 6. Its back to being good again, I'll pretend the last episode didn't happen.

Were you annoyed at the way the ended it? I just finished it a few minutes ago and I'm kind of annoyed since it was my understanding that it would contained to those six episodes. The creator is discussing another season but it's far from a sure thing.

What did you think? I really liked the first season and I appreciated Rust Cole's character, partly because I found him to be relatable. Season 2 was fairly good, but it didn't measure up (in my opinion).

My thoughts exactly. Third time I've seen it in its entirety now. I've only seen the first 3 episodes of season 2 and I just couldn't get into it. It's like they treated Vince Vaugn, Rachel Mcadams, and Colin Farrels characters with a "Rust" paint job. The character type went from refreshing to overdone. Farrels characters dynamic with his "son" was sort of amusing. Too much big city organized crime and not enough occult :P Maybe I'll give it a second chance. :|

^ This scene is probably my favorite scene of the whole show. His eyes after the conversation say it all.

I think think I only got through it because the other person here was insistent. The last episode of season 2 was probably the best. Too many shows are focusing on organized crime and it's become stale. Hopefully, if they make a third season, they'll get it right again. I seem to remember hearing that the story lines would tie into each other through the specific occult group that was uncovered in season 1. I think that would be a better route, especially since they had said the group traveled the country, and could feasibly have committed many unsolved homicides.

Just finished up the new X-files "season". Here is me hoping that they do another few episodes so it isn't just a pure cliff hanger.

Yea, I think they're trying to reboot, or at least tie up the series. Things got really dicy this last episode, they've definitely pushed the show to a place it hasn't been before. Spoiler-Alert: Mulder is finally going to be vindicated if he can make it.

Episode 5 was too horrible for words, one week I'm wondering if the show can even move past something that bad, next week they have me on the edge of my seat all over again.
