Heh. I'm only 28, and I already feel old. I suppose I'll feel the same way when I'm 38, and 48, if I'm unlucky enough to live that old.

The Talented Mr Ripley is a decent movie. So is Ripley's Game. But my personal favorite adaptation of Pat Highsmith's books is The American Friend. I also like The Cry of the Owl, which was turned into a 2009 film with Paddy Considine, a real-life Aspie.

You might also want to watch "Paris, Texas" While it is quite different from either "The American Friend" or "Wings of Desire" I think it is Wender's best film.

Paris, Texas is a great movie! Goes to show you how a character actor like Harry Dean Stanton can carry a film as a leading man. I've said it before, I'll say it again; the scene where Stanton is in the peep show, telling his now stripper ex why he had left her years before, is golden.

32 short films about Glenn Gould - I really liked it. It had many little nice ideas in some of those shortfilms. The acting was good, too. Overall not bad but probably not a movie for people who are not familiar with this artist.

"Contagion" I liked that this film tried to be fairly accurate as to what that kind of outbreak might be like. Certainly it was a lot better than "Outbreak" which I thought was one of the more ridiculous and grossly unscientific treatments of the concept.

Oh, come on. Outbreak is fun as hell.

Contagion doesn't look bad, but I've got a serious bias against Steven Soderbergh movies. Even when I find myself somewhat enjoying one of them (like Traffic or Solaris), I find him so overbearingly pretentious that I'm never in any hurry to watch another.

Detachment - What a wonderful movie. For some people it may seem a little over the top,..maybe even pretentious. For me,...it's a depressing movie with wonderful shots and it's very fast-paced. It's melodramatic and bleak....metaphoric, almost too pictorial. It touches on many subjects related to the mind, but also generally, decay and of course, detachment.

Haven't watched this in awhile. I saw that someone uploaded it to YouTube and couldn't resist.

It's pretty terrific, even though the ending is a cop-out.

I just got back from seeing the 21 Jump Street movie.

I haven't laughed this hard and this much in quite a while; awesome movie.
