Good advice!

I'm Autistic. Interacting with people is not one of my strong-points. A coping technique I have cultivated is humor. I find that interactions with other people often go better if I can get a chuckle from them.

But, as Kirk implies, humor isn't necessarily a natural talent. You may have to cultivate it.

Note: I am not talking about every conversation being a comedy routine. I am talking about getting an amused smile from someone early in the conversation to make the rest of the conversation easier.

Thank you! I had this quote stuck in my head this morning. I could see the scene in my head. It stuck with me ever since I first seen it .You said it brilliantly as well that it's something we have to cultivate. Like small talk or even socialization. It's not something that's natural. It takes practice and time
