I can report good news. It's a lot more brutal than the clips would have you believe. I was quite shocked they got away with a particular scene in the first five mins. All in, it's good fun.

I saw Mirror Mirror but there was no real magical half silvered mirror.

Caught Casino again. Great movie about the fall of the Vegas mob. DeNiro and Pesci are great in their roles, as ever.

Well I watched half of The Breakfast Club and found it hilarious, I don't like to admit I find any enjoyment from that movie  Also I watched Trading Places again recently, that was pretty funny. But I haven't seen anything new recently.

I saw 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen', which was really wonderful (and funny at points!)

And it actually made a mention of Asperger's, though in my opinion it was an inaccurate reference, saying that "the great thing about people with Asperger's is that it's very difficult to hurt their feelings"... (Uh, what?!) So that part was kind of disappointing; if you're going to mention Asperger's in your movie, you should try to get your facts right...

Aside from that it was really sweet though :)

Celia(1988) it was about a girl living in the 1950s in victoria and there are 2 storylines- her dealing with wanting a rabbit during plague times and her new neighbours, who are communists and her friendship with them and parents attitudes towards them. it sounds like a kids film but the kid goes a little nuts in the end and kills a guy. i think my favourite character in the film was the grandmother who never actually makes an appearance and is dead but she was a radical and involved in antiwar stuff. im assuming the room full of radical literature was hers. after her it would be Alice, the woman next door.

Was this by chance called Celia: Child Of Terror? Because it sounds a whole lot like a movie by that name that I had watched on video years ago. In the movie I had seen, before she kills the man with a shotgun, she sees him as his soul really is - a horrid, oily skinned monster.

yep that'd be it. i hadnt looked at the ending that way. i like your take on it better than her just being feverish and hallucinating. i watched him die and felt nothing for him.

Both great films, but the Breakfast Club is amazing.
