I wish anime was reality that way it would make it easier to read other peoples emotions in social situations! Like if someones nervous you see a giant drop next to their head!

So many anime finishing, it has been taking so much time to properly finish off each with giving them all a review and rating. Saying goodbye to so many shows I have loved. And with today alone finishing Golden Time, Samurai Flamenco, Wake Up, Girls, Onee-chan ga kita, and No-Rin, I still have Strike the Blood and Sakura Trick on my plate to finish, plus the third episode of Little Busters EX. Feels like no time to do anything else and mentally drained.

Silver Spoon ended this week, and it seems that A-1 Pictures aren't planning to adapt any more of the manga. But it was a really good run and I don't regret watching it. It turns out though that Aniplex of America have landed the English-language license, which worryingly raises the question of whether the series will ever see a DVD/Bluray release. Not to mention Aniplex's ... erratic track record of voice-casting (Madoka exempted). But we'll have to wait and see.

I'm also on tenterhooks with Magi as the series is drawing to a close and the animation's been iffy. But with a certain character returning (which for some reason, the animators seem to love), I'm hoping the final episode will be a gorgeous all out fest. I mean, if they can blow their budget on Sword Art Online, Magi surely deserves the same treatment, right?

I wish I had more to look forward to this Spring. Maybe I should look into Space Brothers and the recently finished-in-Japan Noragami. Anything without a silly harem gets my curiosity at least.

Oh man, just finished Magi: Kingdom of Magic.... when they have to pull out all the stops animation-wise, A-1 Pictures can really do it. Totally psyched for series 3 (hopefully coming this autumn).

Whilst investigating new anime to watch, I came across M3: That Black Steel, a new one penned by original Sailor Moon director Juuichi Sato. I enjoyed his work with Kaleidostar but warning bells about this mecha-based anime are ringing already. Seems Mari Okada (the doomed Genesis of Aquarion and not-very-well recieved Black Rock Shooter) and Satelight are involved with production and.... I've not had much luck with Satelight's projects. Shame about Log Horizon... Ah well, we'll see.

Magi did have a really good finale, and overall the season was better than the first. Made me really want to see another season soon, but my instincts say we won't see much for a while due to lack of source material.

Agreed - that's why I was hoping for the late autumn, early winter roster release; A-1 Pictures played it incredibly close with Silver Spoon, narrowly ending single-digit chapters away from the manga (at the time). But in the meantime, A-1 Pictures confirmed that they're doing a Sinbad-centric OAV prequel, so I'm anticipating that this summer.

I needed something really nice to watch over the last few days, so I watched Hidarami Sketch X Honeycomb again. I can't think of another show that delivers that quality of feelings of calmness and happiness. Aria came close, though. I should probably finish Kaleidostar next, now that I think of it.

Oh trust me you'll get hooked on Fullmetal, it's amazing.

Having grown up on Toonami and wishing Sailor Moon would return to the airwaves in the 2010s, I am indeed an anime fan. :D

WRLLed 11 episodes of No-Rin and loved it. So much fan service but still very moving. Love triangle extraordinary.

As there seems to be a lack of material this Spring I'm interested in, based on recommendations from friends, I've just started watching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, a very interesting (and quite frankly scary) depicition of what would happen if a massive earthquake struck modern-day Tokyo. The anime centres itself on young Mirai and Yuki struggling to make their way back home to Setagaya City as the earthquake strikes during their visiting a robot exhibition in Odaiba. Accompanying them is a motorcycle courier by the name of Mari, who is desperately trying to get to Sangen-Jaya Station in order to get to her mother. Pretty impressive animation as always from BONES and I'm rather saddened that a project like this isn't more recognised as I find it very original and very brave.

Also, me and a friend are watching Angelic Layer, if only because we find it very cute at how amateur the A.D.V Films dub was (bizarrely keeping in the dub scirpt the Japanese honorifics '-chan' and '-kun' but it was the early 2000s so understandably, anime dubbing was still in its infancy) and we find it amusing athow some of the early dub-actors struggled to keep their native Texan twang out of their character-acting.

Seriously though, I do find myself enjoying Angelic Layer's simple story. I'm also rather loooking forward to seeing how CLAMP also did with xxxHolic as I enjoyed Cardcaptor Sakura too (but defiinetely not Tsubasa Chronicles or Magic Knights Rayearth!) Good times.

There are times where I have emotional weaknesses that can make me kind of fall apart and not want to watch, and Tokyo 8.0 was that to me. Usually it is gruesome serial kill stuff, but I just don't deal well with (spoiler) kids dyeing, and the fact the sister was so messed up that she was pretending he was still alive was heartbreaking

The OVA and first episode of the new season of Mushi-shi pleased me greatly.

The first episodes of The Kawai Complex Guide... and of One Week Friends both inspired me to follow those shows this season. One Week Friends has a really nice visual style and appealing characters.

While I didn't find the art style of Engaged to the Unidentified especially to my liking, I liked the characters and the story.

Offering my two cents now, me and a friend just tried out Rowdy Sumo-Wrestler Matsutaro --- definetely a very old-school-style anime if anything (not surprising as the original manga was written back in the 70s), so though the main titular character is a jerk, it's refreshing to see something very visually different. Mushi-shi was brilliant as always too, it's been too long a wait with Artland. Definetely worth it though.
