The first episode of the new TV version of 'The Worst Witch'. It's meant for kids but I really enjoyed it. Those were my favourite books as a kid.

Children of the Stones episode 1-

Taboo.

FX's new series taking place in early 19th century England when the son (Tom Hardy) of a wealthy but insane businessman, returns home to claim his inheritance now that the old man is dead. He is plotted against by his father's business rivals, and by his own brother-in-law, all the while he hints at having done atrocious and even unnatural things while far off in Africa making money for king and country. As an embittered, emotionally scarred and self loathing man, Hardy's character is not easy to like, save for the fact that his enemies are all disgusting people, themselves.

Episode 10, and the season finale, of Westworld. This very enjoyable series ended on a cliffhanger, where the proverbial sh*t has just hit the fan.

Watched the first disc (five episodes) from this set. It's basically Last of the Mohicans: The Series.

I've gotten hooked on The Great British Baking Show
OMG, Martha has to be the most sought-after young woman in the country. The hosts are so much funnier than any cooking contest show I've ever seen and the challenges make sense. It does make me hungry, though. I have gone through more snacks lately than I have in some time.

Part of the fun, of course, is watching people perform under stress. They achieve it by simply having reasonably difficult challenges, though, rather than impossible ones. Things end in disaster from time to time, but is feels less contrived. I really hate reality TV and most contests, but this one made me understand. I think they knew better than to overdo it, somehow.

As mentioned elsewhere, I never plan to watch them, but I always seem to miss the bad ones and catch the good ones. Since I watch sports just to see amazing athleticism, I got well rewarded for my time last night.
