Just finished "Inglourious Basterds," which I just bought on Blu-ray last week. I forgot how long it was and how it gets a little dull in parts, but there's a lot of great sections too. "Ya know somethin', Utivich? I think this just might be my masterpiece."

i am watching Mabo right now
i know the facts of the case that involved koike "eddie" mabo taking on the government in an effort to establish that the land on which we stand was not terra nullius and i know this was not an easy win for the the aboriginal population but this movie makes me appreciate the racism directed at them by the government and restrictions in working within the australian, western legal system to prove something that is dictated by aboriginal customary law and the way western law is held to be the superior authority is almost sorta orientalist. also staring are certain politicians who are active today and claim to support aboriginal rights but it is seen, through original news footage, that they opposed even the recognition that this was not an empty land when whites invaded aprox. 200yrs ago. and the movie goes into his personal life a little more than history and legal studies classes did in high school.
i love watching these movies alone so i can cheer and fist pump when awesome stuff happens. im loving this film.

bought on dvd: Love Never Dies
it's really awesome. and despite it's not a true sequel, but more of a separate storyline, i was riveted to the screen

Got halfway through "the Fisher king" before I last slept.. Was enjoying it just was exhausted. Quite bizarre, Robin Williams is great in it, in my humble opinion. certainly a colourful character anyway.

Inglourious basterds is actually the only film I own now. Saw it on release and had it on blu-ray when I had my collection. Just dvd now and I have no player lol or TV or even a PC to play it on. Very funny movie :) can't watch the Nazi-branding though, too gruesome nowadays.

Went to the theater to see "Rock of Ages" with my mother. Nothing special, but the music was fun and Tom Cruise really stole the show.

I sat through "The Woman in Black." That has to be one of the most boring horror films I've seen recently.

Also "The Dead" was the most awesome Zombie film.

Just watched the 1998 version of Brave New World last night and it had a little more sexual situations than I cared for. The only reason I was intrigued by this title was because in high school they made us read the novel by Audous Huxley.

I saw Snow White & The Huntsman back on Saturday, and I agree with you.

Yes, I wasn't too fond of it either. It had a couple moments towards the end but I didn't really like it either. Not to mention I don't like the guy from Harry Potter.

I just got back from seeing the sci-fi indie Safety Not Guaranteed.

Hilarious throughout and what would you do if you were
ever given the chance to time-travel?

Little Shop of Horrors - I really enjoyed it; it was a lot of fun. One of the few musicals I've seen that actually has a happy ending, which I appreciated. Seymour's my favorite character; he's a really nice, easy-to-relate-to guy. Even though the movie was mostly campy, there was one part that actually brought a tear to my eye, and that was when Audrey sang "Somewhere That's Green".

Was it the old one or newer one? I remember watching the newer one in grade 5. I used to love that movie and the songs in it.

The Avengers

It was better, and a lot funnier than I expected.
Enjoyed it even without having seen Captain America, Thor, or Iron Man 2.
