Which raises the question, do you think that Aspies in the Star Trek era might be tempted to convert to Surakism? Or, even if they don't, do you think that social acceptance of Aspies would be greatly heightened by the acceptance of Vulcans?

Is necro bumping a crime on here?

Anyways you all should watch the episode Impluse from season 3 of Star Trek Enterprise, where the Vulcans on the ship Seleya have reverted to their primal state due to the neurological breakdown causing them to lose their emotional control.

This is the first episode that shows what Vulcans were like before they were forced to adopted logic and emotional suppression.

Awakening from Season 4 shows a flash back of Vulcan on the verge of complete destruction from on going nuclear war as Surak is commanding Archer to find his artifact and save current Vulcan from corruption.

I watched whole ENT than TNG, DS9, VOY and all movies :-)
I love Star Trek. It's pity that ENT was canceled, just when started making really interesting :(
and the most pissed off with me that they killed character Commander Tucker, one of few characters aside Dr Phlox i liked from the beginning.

I'm sorry you had to go through all of them.

I only liked Enterprise.

I do wish UPN forced their affiliates to air Enterprise at the original air date instead of delaying it for local programming.
This would have led to higher ratings.
I can't tell you how many times I turned on the show only to find a Tiger's home game on.

I wish we also had a sex scene with Commander Tucker and T'Pol.

Lastly I hated the final episode with a passion... Seriously why was it about TNG instead of Enterprise??

But it was scene of sex between them, it was not so expletive because after all Star Trek is Star Trek not a PORN :D

I hate last episode because they killed Commander Tucker, if they want more drama and kill someone why they not killed Sharn nobody liked that guy

I said it before in a similar thread a while back, and I'll say it again even though I was disagreed with - I believe Worf is an Aspie. A Klingon living among humans, he is truly an alien as we Aspies are. But more, he can no more fit in Klingon society than in human society, as he constantly stumbles socially among Homo Sapiens, and he doesn't behave like a steroid induced jock as Klingons do, as he tries to live by a code of honor that the others of his race only give lip service to.

Yes Worf cited the Klingon Honor Code quite often, he want to live as good boy according to all rules of Codes of Honor, he clearly loved to live according to hierarchized set of Rules(Certainly it seems to be all too familiar to us all :-) ), but the same we can say about Odo from DS9 :-)

The only Star Trek character I've seen who actually seems like an aspie is Lt. Barclay (AKA Broccoli) from TNG. I think he first appeared in 'Hollow Pursuits'. I identified with him very easily. :)
