I have kind of a love/hate relationship with the show. I admit many of the jokes are very funny and quite clever, but others are just offensive and downright mean. I hate how either Brian or Peter are always saying "America is great, except for the South" because I live in the South. Also I can't stand Brian, he acts like he's so sophisticated and right about everything and I would not get along with somebody like him in real life. I do like Stewie though, but I miss when he was the little Nazi baby always trying to murder his Mom. Now he's mellowed out and uninteresting.

again, I tried watching the earlier seasons again some time ago.....I kid you not when I tell you if you stop watching it long enough, it's not that funny anymore. And the formula is so predictable that it's actually sorta lame.

Ernest Saves Christmas; and you actually have to find this thing on Youtube now, because he deleted it from his videos on Thatguywiththeglasses.com.

The guy who complained...I actually spoke to here, and he realized he went in a little over his head a bit( that's right, his name wasn't Jamesy ;D), and apologized.

Regardless, the joke was incredibly lame...and then I emailed Doug myself, told him I'm a huge fan who happens to be Autistic...then told him to try harder. ;)

South Park superior
Family Guy inferior

FG is just a string of random jokes, SP is vulgar, crass toilet humour and i LOVE it. Episodes like Fishsticks, Pee and Medicinal Fried Chicken are living proof, though i prefer the earlier episodes.

I wouldn't flat-out call South Park crass latrine humor. Take "The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs"; yes, it was vulgar, but it worked with the story. I think South Park pulls off being really vulgar, but actually being really smart at the exact same time; Trey & Matt just have this weird, yet perfect combination with it.

south park is trey parker and matt stone's vehicle for shoving political messages down your throat. the jokes aren't always funny, most of them are just offensive. the only episode that i really liked was the scientology episode. Family Guy's jokes are random, but usually they are hilarious. it's the random jokes that make the show work. it's like the hangover. and family guy is a pretty smart show. also, family guy can pull of being serioius. south park can't be serious.

To each their own, Family Guy just doesn't replicate the near the knuckle crudeness of South Park in my estimation. SP still makes me laugh, who cares of Trey Parker and Matt Stone use it as a political platform. They have a point sometimes, such as the Indiana Jones rape episode and the Jonas Brothers pisstake.
