I must say i didn't think that this forum would get this many posts in such a small amount of time. The most posts any of my forums have ever gotten is maybe in the mid 20s range, and its already at 42! Well a lot of you have good taste in movies.

"What is everyone's favorite movie?"

Ha ha! This is the kind of question that used to drive me nuts when I was in school. The teacher would say, "How far did everyone get on their homework?" Or "did everyone understand what the author was trying to say?"

And I'd think, "How the hell would I know? I know how far I got on my homework. I know what I have a pretty good idea of what the author was trying to say. But I haven't a clue what everyone else thought." The teacher would always be facing the blackboard or something, not looking around to call on people to answer. So it would stay quiet, because no one feels right about shouting out their own personal answer. The teacher would get all annoyed that no one was answering.

Incidentally, I do know what you meant. And in an internet forum, asking "what is everyone's favorite movie" is a perfectly sensible, legitimate thing to ask. Obviously you want each person's individual opinion, and not the one movie which is the ultimate favorite of all people. The question just reminded me of the annoying teacher questions, so I thought I'd share that.

Reasons I like WP #73 -

I'm not the only one who went 'there'.

A Clockwork Orange, Fantastic Planet and Dr. Strangelove are three of my favourites.

Those + Eraserhead, most of Kubrick's films, anything by Jarmush, and Blade Runner.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
