Dr. Jeremiah Sacani on Royal Pains (USA Network). He appears as a minor character on the 4th season, but when I saw him, he just stood out to me.

I have to agree with Dexter having several qualities similar to an aspie, but yeah, he is definitely more of a sociopath.

From what I've heard, the new girl in NCIS: Los Angeles is supposed to be an aspie poster child.

I've never heard it proposed before, because I think the character does a fantastic job of hiding it.

I have my reasons for believing it, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed them.

I disagree. What he is really hiding is the poverty and abusive situation he grew up in.

That, and that he's not really Don Draper - but Dick Whitman. He had stolen the identity of his dead commanding officer, the real Don Draper in the Korean War, so he could start his life over. Needless to say, were this to become public knowledge, Don's life would be over, and he'd be looking at a long prison sentence.

Do you guys like seeing characters who may have Aspergers on TV? Or do you think TV shows misrepresent Aspergers?

Dr. Julian Bashir in Star Trek Deep Space Nine. His parents justify having him gentically enhanced so he can deal with sensory overload, memory problems, etc. There are also a group of patients introduced later in the series that all have aspie symptoms.

I like Sheldon Cooper, but I don't like being compared to him. I may be the only one on here that feels this way though.

Andrew Klein seasons 5 and 6 of Entourage.
He is married with a wife and kids, becomes a partner with Ari Gold and Barbara Miller at the Miller Gold Agency, and brings in a lot of new contracts. However, he begins to have an affair with someone and eventually has a meltdown and when Ari finds out and gives Andrew advice, Andrew takes it the wrong way and leaves his wife for the other girl to disastrous results and to further his depressive episode. Something about the character seemed off and somewhat strange and he looks awkward at points as well. I realize that I may be mistaken this for a depressive episode as well, but the meltdown and behaviour is relatable here.

What about Ross Geller from Friends? I don't think he has AS- but he has some traits:
-focused interest on science and paleontology, likes to do puzzles
-very literal rather than intuitive interpretation of "we were on a break"
-awkwardness in his tone of voice and movement (there's sometimes pauses in his speech)
-not liking ice cream because it was too cold (sensory issue)
-not picking up on Carol being a lesbian until Phoebe told him

There are probably others- what does everyone think?
