They had to split the seventh one into two movies.

Spirit of '99 [sequel to Spirit of '76, with Prince playing David Cassidy's role]
The Further Adventures of Dil [sequel to The Crying Game]
Queer Quaff [sequel to Strange Brew]
The Testostoration of Hansel, or Hansel and the Angry ITch [sequels to Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which would be XXX-rated]
Goblin [sequel to Ghost, where the widow has Sam Wheat's son]
Sam Wheat in the Elysian Fields [further sequel to Ghost, which shows Sam in heaven]
Jaws 27 [above a certain number of sequels, does the precise number really matter?]
Benji Button [sequel to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, where he is reborn as a dog]
Contact II [the further adventures of Ellie Arroway, including another longer trip to Vega]
Freebie and the Beano [a cheesy slice-of-life of two old curmudgeonly retired cops]
The Silver Locusts [more stories from The Martian Chronicles]
Flesh Gordon meets Barbarella [XXX-rated]
The Further Adventures of Doc Brown and Family [i always wanted to see where he was going in that train]

How about a sequel to Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

I know there have been 2 dtv movies and that Disney sequels are not really that good except for the Toy Story Sequels. But The Princess and the Frog was a good movie and I've heard good things about Tangled. If the people at Disney put some effort into it they could come up with a great story and it has to be a theatrical release and not a midquel.

I've thought of a story. How about the Beast(who is human now) somehow travels back in time and ends up as a beast again and discovers that Belle is married to Gaston or is going to be married to him and the Beast with the help of his servants has to make Belle fall in love with him again. The plot sounds kinda similar to the one in Shrek Forever After, but it could work.

I would personally love to see a Who Framed Roger Rabbit sequel. If that ever happens I just hope they stay consistent with the original in regards to refraining from using computers to animate the characters.

Off topic, but there needs to be more traditionally-animated films than there are now. CGI is beginning to bore me a little.

One of my favorite movies is Steven Speilberg's/Richard Matheson's 1971 Duel. This was the movie where the serial killer truck driver was chasing a car driven by Dennis Weaver. In the Matheson short story, Matheson says the truck driver was a marauder in every state (each license plate on the truck was a state he had killed in). I would like to see a prequel to this story showing the trucker's murders in other states prior to his demise in this 1971 movie.

Another interesting idea is that perhaps the truck driver (whose name was Keller in the short story---play on words for Killer) wasn't killed at the end of the movie. I know the door is open to the rig as it plummets over the cliff---but that was so stunt driver Cary Loftin could escape out of the truck since the stunt-rigged steering sysem malfunctioned forcing Loftin to drive the truck to the edge. But although Keller was to be in the rig after it went over the cliff, it isn't clear for certain he is dead. There are some interesting ideas that could develop into a sequel as well if Keller survived.

a prequel to "hedwig and the angry inch"- maybe it could be called "hansel and the happy 8 inches."

Seconded. Although, Tim Burton has already said that he isn't making it. Come to think of it, he has never made a sequel to anything he's directed, which makes me sad (though given the quality of most sequels, maybe I should be thankful instead).

Therefore I have little hope that there will be a sequel to the 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie, even though that's something I would really love to see.

He directed Batman Returns.

My mom also pointed that out to me. I know a lot about Tim Burton... except his Batman films. I always either get them mixed up with other films or forget to even mention them. It's because I'm not a very big fan of Batman.

I thought of another movie franchise I would like to see another sequel to - Balto. They actually already made two sequels - Wolf Quest and Wings of Change - but since Balto was one of my biggest childhood obsessions, two sequels isn't enough for me. Unfortunately, the powers that be have already said that Wings of Change didn't rake in enough cash to make Balto 4, so I can't hold out too much hope for it.

a prequel to smokey and the bandit, when he was a toddler, growing into a teen just starting out. his early family life would be an interesting exploration.
