this is why i like batman forever so much

colorful/futuristic city design and setting
the acting and witty banter of tommy lee jones and jim carrey
val kilmers cool headed and unemotional acting (true to the character of batman)
chris o'donells charastimistic performance as robin
good soundtrack
cool and interesting fight scenes
great acting from nicole kidman
cool bat vehicle and gadgets
childhood favourite and grew up watching as a kid
highly replayable and never gets boring to watch
good storyline
had some serious aspects and moments to the film.

My response to why Jamesy has a boner for B Forever...

Gotham is a corrupt city, not fecking Disneyland
TLJ and Carrey BUTCHER the characters of Riddler and Two Face, Carrey verges on annoying and TLJ cackles every 5 minutes trying to be Jack Nicholson
Funny how you praise Kilmer's wooden Batman but slag off Bale... HYPOCRITE
O'Donnel is just eye candy for girls.
Soundtrack is not that great - apart from Seal's song.
Fight scenes feel rushed.
Nicole Kidman is too slu*ty to even be considered a love interest.
The Tumbler is MILES better, and the gadgets aren't great.
I grew up with Batman 89, which is vastly superior.
Replayable? Should of gone to Specsavers....
Nicole Kidman's skin tight vinyl an whip quote is cringeworthy,
Storyline is amateurish

Here is a list of the reasons why i don't like TDK

Storyline hard for me to follow
the way the film is shot is sleep inducing
bad dialouge in some parts
bad fight scenes
christian bale is annoying as batman
dull and too realistic looking cityscape
the scenes shot in daylight are horrible
depressing to watch
the two face character and storyline is crap
can't keep my attention span beyond the early parts of the film
depressing background music

Tiny things (Batman Forever) please tiny minds....
Just because Christopher Nolan shot TDK the way he wanted doesn't mean it's sleep inducing.
TDK's dialogue pisses all over Forever's cringeworthy dialogue from a colossal height.
At least the fight scenes aren't rushed, unlike Forever where Batman is cheered by onlookers.
Bale brings a whole new level of intensity to the character, something Kilmer lacked in spades.
Nothing wrong with being realistic, Nolan's Gotham at least looks corrupt and full of crime.
Where are your glasses, you ret*d little mole?
Go and watch the Teletubbies then if it makes you feel better.
Aaron Eckhart doesn't cackle every 5 minutes, and at least he has some background unlike Tommy Lee Jones.
That's because you have a SHORT attention span
Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard's score is brilliant.

Sorry, Jamesy, your negatives on TDK are null and void. Which movie was nominated for 7 Academy Awards? Dark Knight. Which took more money at the box-office? Dark Knight.

I understand completely that your entitled to your opinion. but we don't want to here the SAME OLD S**T that comes out of your mouth 24/7 on these forums. Batman Forever is your favourite film...WHO CARES?!?! Get over yourself, stop attention seeking and grow up.

Aliens is my favourite movie of all time, but i don't wander these forums forcing my opinons on others. I have something called a "life", which is what i suggest you get ASAP. The whole world doesn't want to hear about your family problems, who you punched or how you can't get laid or get a girlfriend, NO-ONE! :wall:

(Rant over)

the acting is terrible. batman isn't supposed to take place in the "future". stop, you haven't read the comics, so you have no idea how batman is "supposed to be". i knew you had a childhood biased towards this. also, this movie had a lot of scenes deleted from it that filled in MANY of the plot holes

Funny how since the adam west days they have not found a batman that is 6ft2.

And Adam West wasn't the tallest regular cast member. Cesar Romero (Joker) was 6'3" and Alan Napier (Alfred) was 6'5".

Who knows as well 6ft2 could have been exzaggerated for Adam West.

Christian Bale is probably the second tallest batman cause he is genuinly 6ft but Val Kilmer may have been just a shade uner 6feet.
