Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

Incidentally, is it only me that thinks that 'Garth Marenghi' looks a little bit like ChrisChan?

Yep, that's it. I'm afraid I don't know who ChrisChan is.

Black Books! I've watched every episode about a thousand times. Dylan Moran captures the essence of the show quite well in this quote:

Dylan Moran wrote:
“It’s a reaction against the perfectness of things like Friends, I have a very low tolerance for enthusiasm generally. Television should reflect how we live. I get depressed by how good-looking everyone is on television. You never get the sense that they smell or are at all crusty. We wanted to avoid the airbrushed slickness of most things. I want viewers to feel that these characters find clumps of pubic hair in the most unexpected places around the house.”

Oh, and Absolutely Fabulous! I so desperately want a Patsy Stone to my Edina Monsoon.

Then there was the one about the fictitious British horror writer, Garth Merrenghi, who writes, directs, and plays the lead in a horror/hospital drama comedy. I'm afraid I can't recall the name.

As coinkidink would have it, MikeJ of ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com has posted a video on the topic of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace today. Never seen that show before.
