So what did everyone think of the Doctor using social cue cards?

I thought it was hilarious, especially the way he awkwardly said every since category on each card!

So if one were to start watching Doctor Who, where would one start at? I dunno how I managed to live this long without having seen a single shred of it.

I would start with Season 1 of the revived series with Christopher Eccelson and just go from there to see what you think of it. There's also older episodes online if you want to start there [some good ones to see are Genesis of The Daleks, City of Death, Pyramids of Mars, and The Three Doctors]. I hope that helps!

Old "Who" was a real "special interest" when I was 11-12 years old. I can just remember the last days of Jon Pertwee but Tom Baker was really "my" Doctor. I still have enough love for it to cosplay at K9 at the London MCM Comic Con earlier this year

I watch the new series and sometimes it's good but it's not "my" show anymore. I didn't grow up with it. I'm really pleased it's got so many young fans though.

How in the name of Skaro can you even see out of that thing? I'm thinking of wearing my Ultimate Doctor costume for the next Comic Con.

Great K9 costume! :D

Is it weird that I'm kind of scared for series 9 to end? I really, really love Clara and I know that Jenna Coleman is leaving after this series. :( I'm afraid that they will give her a sad ending like they did with Donna. What do you all think?

Maybe I shouldn't mention what terrifying Steven Moffat creature is coming back, then. When do you guys think the Doctor will find Galifrey?

I didn't realize it at first, but I always seem to lose interest in the show toward the end of a season where I know the companion is leaving. I think it's the sense that it's going to be too much feels for me. Part of me really likes the good old days when the doctor would just drop them off and say "See you later." It was short and sweet and didn't completely rule out a reunion. It seems like Steven Moffatt likes to write himself into corners and make sure they can't possibly come back: Stick them into an alternate universe, erase their memory, put them into a locked timeline...

How are they ever going to do the 75th anniversary reunion show? :D

Can you imagine what the show will be like in the next fifty years? 8O

Definitely a Whovian. Just look at my post on the "You Might Be a Whovian If . . ." thread.

I don't think I can even imagine.

So about that last episode. I think we'll definitely be seeing her again. Can't say more without spoilers.
