I'm not the most avid Price watcher either. Ever since they canned Janice, Holly and Kathleen it's not the same. Then Rod Roddy died, and that was kind of it. Not that Rich Fields is a bad guy, mind you, it's just not the same feeling anymore when I tune in.

They needed to hire Randy West instead (as a former Game Show Forum member, I think I am obliged to mention that ;-))

Heir to the throne, and he's not on it. Shame. But he does get to do it live for Harrah's. Going to AC to see him later this summer? With Marc Summers?

I think it's different watching "The Price is Right" now. Before, I thought Rich Fields made Los Angeles looked like Baghdad, but then when I heard his voice more and more, he showed his respect for Johnny Olsen. Hearing his voice for one year after hearing both Johnny Olsen and Rod Roddy's voice for a combined 32 years is strange. Sometimes, the way things come to and end is very sad.

Family Feud...mostly Richard Dawson and Ray Combs. And one of my favorite game boards ever. Somehow in recent years I've found myself more interested in watching Ray's episodes...maybe cause GSN played/plays the Dawson eps. much more often? It's a shame what happened to him too. Louie Anderson and Richard Karn don't quite measure up at all...but I do like the Spanish version that plays now on Telefutura, 100 Mexicanos Dijeron.

Hey, someone who watches 100 Mexicanos Dijeron. I watch it occasionaly. I may not understand everything that is said, but I focus mostly on the questions and answers.

¡VAMOS A JUGAR!

Speaking of favorites...and speaking of the stuff I said I watch(ed) on GSN...I forgot to mention Blockbusters on my previous list. Both Bill Cullen's and Bill Rafferty's. BTW, I wonder if any of the GS experts here could tell me...since we were at the point of Rafferty BB with the growing Gold Run jackpot, does anyone know what the highest amount won there ended up being?

Nope. Game show Randy West. Real popular announcer who's done Supermarket Sweep, Trivial Pursuit, An New 3' A Crowd, the Game Show Moments Gone Bananas series on VH1, and of course TPiR. Tons of other stuff too. Here's his website: http://www.tvrandywest.com

I am sorry, but I dislike game shows. Apart from possibly Fear Factor and Countdown. It is sad Richard Whitely died.

Yes, Richard Whiteley must have been a British legend.

You must enjoy watching "The Fear Factor" with Joe Rogan, or the man by the name of Marc, depending on what country you are in.

Assuming Malcolm is British, I wonder...it seems like many people I know from the UK have a low opinion of game shows. Why is that? If there's still many GS's in the UK, that would be another reason I'd think their television is better! ;-)

P.S. if Malcolm knew what the name "Malcolm" meant to the game show world, he'd dislike them even more ;-) ;-)

Oh, yes, that was Alex Trebek's eccentric game show pilot.

Bruce Forsyth is a dear man, and I'm not sure what people think of Les Dennis, Max Bygraves, and others.

However, "The Weakest Link" came to America, and Anne Robinson was the host. It turned out to be a big hit here in America. Anne was nicer on the American version for one reason, and one reason only. She is a very nice lady in real life!

That was an amazing show! Wasn't it canceled because she said something "unpatriotic" or some shi* like that? I miss that show.

I used to watch Fear Factor all the dang time.

I could watch them eat stuff, anything, except for when they drink stuff. Yeah, when they blended stuff. Protein shakes, as they called them, often containing live cockroaches, worms, and they get blended together...and downed.

I used to gag.

I don't watch it much often anymore, it just got tired of it. It got old.

Ben, I think "The Weakest Link" was cancled because of low rating. MalcolmScipo, the other "Malcolm" was a robot that was a character on a very eccentric game show pilot hosted by Alex Trebek, who currently hosts the American version of "Jeopardy.!" It was an insult to the game show genre and Alex felt bad that anyone had even heard of it.
