YEAH!! !

I listened to a clip of the winning entry, from Serbia, sung by Marija Šerifović. Not bad. Not the kind of music I'd normally listen to. I can't judge whether or not it should have won because I have heard none of the competition.

But it sounds like Eurovision blows American Idol and its clones out of the water...

If you'd heard the Ukraine you'd know that Ukraine should have won.

All the top finishers were from *gasp* Eastern Europe. Televoting seems to give them a somewhat unfair advantage, while the west complain, and then send crap songs. I predict either a change in the voting rules, or a mass boycott next year.

But at least I won the sweepstake

I liked the winning song from Serbia. It was not the kind of music I usually listen to, but at least that woman can actually SING. And I liked Finland's entry. Ukraine was... interesting.

How can anyone not love that song!?

Hah...I watched Ukraine's one on YouTube. Made me laugh at first but I thought a lot of it was annoying, so I didn't watch it all. Serbia's one just sounded like boring generic dancey dung. I woulda taken Vampires Are Alive over this stuff. DX

Ukraine are awesome. They so should have won. Voting was totally rigged.

UK should send DRAGONFORCE to Belgrade next year. If we do that, we'll be almost guaranteed to win!!

Germany should send Rammstein next year.

The British and the Irish should send some seriously mocking tunes next year. The Irish should have a fast jig that humorously the wee-wee out of the contest. But I doubt that would go down too well with our European cousins.
