I like those that you mentioned. Champloo is funny. Espetialy the times that the girl in the group eats too much and gets fat for a short while, then shortly later she's thin again.

I also think that alot of Anime from Japan is meant for adults. I have seen some more adult ones before, but there are some children's shows from their culture I think. Hammtaro is one of those children's series that was actualy likable. Sailor Moon is ok to.

I love Spongebob and want to strangle Dora. She's so annoying and condescending!

I like Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Kim Possible, Fairly Oddparents, and the one I can never remember the name of (names are a big problem for me) with Blue and the imaginary friends. Something's house of something something.

I miss Pinky & the Brain and Animaniacs. I loved Sesame Street when I was a kid and again with my daughter. The guest stars are really amazing. We liked Blue's Clues as well. Think Steve was One of Us?

Love Inuyasha, and I watch Bleach and Blood Plus with my daughter and get involved.

She's 13, so we watch adult swim. Love Metalocalypse, Frisky Dingo, Family Guy, Simpsons, Futurama, Saul of the Mole Men rips the old Krofft puppet shows to shreds; I hate Tim & Eric, Squidbillies, Xavier...suck, suck, suck.

Disney is one of my fixations, so I could go on about animation forever...but I won't.

when i was a kid the big ones were Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Batman TAS, Super Mario Bros Super Show, and Freakazoid. i always thought the early Nick Toons were kinda pathetic. Doug was just a p****, Rug Rats was too cutesy, and Ren & Stimpy I thought was just stupid. Rocko's Modern Life was brilliant though, as was Invader Zim and Fairly Odd Parents.

right now i think the big bastion of quality animation is Cartoon Network, cause you can enjoy all their shows no matter what age you are. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Billy and Mandy, i'm almost 23 and i love these shows to death.

Nickelodeon and Disney Channel i think are the bottom of the barrel. Dora the Explorer is the freaking devil, that's all there is to it. Speedy Gonzales gets banned and Dora stays on? if i had a kid i'd rather let him watch Speedy than Dora. Kim Possible had a few moments, but anything else on the Disney channel is cel-shaded death.

remember back in the day when Nickelodeon had stuff like Eureka's Castle and The Adventures of Pete & Pete? then Amanda Bynes came along, the network tried to appeal to tweens, and everything went to Hell. the shows we enjoyed in the early 90's totally couldn't happen again, and that's sad cause i still enjoy them as an adult.

Me too...I also like Arthur on PBS. I haven't been able to find Sagwa on tv in a while though.

i was a nickelodeon kid myself
the mid to early 90's was the golden age of cartoons on nickelodeon. the shows were experimental, weird, fun, and very creative and imaginative.

-Rocko's Modern Life
-Ahhhhh Real Monsters!
-Ren & Stimpy (a little over the top maybe)
-Doug
-the Angry Beavers
-Hey Arnold
-Catdog

all great shows that i wish to show to my own children one day.

i started to notice the decline of nickelodeon with spongebob, though the early episodes were great, after that it was just rubbish from there on out which got worse and worse.

It's all relative. I thought these shows were crap. I grew up on The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Fat Albert, Looney Tunes (1970s). And guess what? My mother thought those shows were crap.

I can't stand anything for children. I can only watch cartoons about things that appeal to me, like Ruby Gloom. The worst cartoons are the ones with characters that have irritating voices. I miss cartoons like Rocko's Modern Life. My mum and I loved that until we stopped using Austar.

OMG, I can never forget the cartoons that were aired during the 80s and 90s. They were awesome. My favorites were The Real Ghostbusters, Dennis the Menace, Heathcliff, David the Gnome, Little Bits, Doug, Looney Tunes, Popeye, Smurfs, Snorks.

For some reason, I don't find todays cartoons (e.g. SpongeBob Squarepants, Fairly Oddparents) entertaining. They are just gay and they don't make you laugh.

I used to watch Doug and Hey Arnold a lot.

I also liked many of the 80's cartoons too. Today's shows just now suck so much.

I think this applies to most adult shows as well.

There is too much cliches.

Why Dave the barbarian hasn't been mentioned? Very funny, doesn't take themselves too seriously. They even make fun of their low budget!!

I totally agree. Kids shows these days seemed to be aimed towards stupid little babies. There's no substance. No respect for the children's intelligence.

I still enjoy watching cartoons from my youth and love them as much, possibly even more than when I was a kid. So yes, cartoons now days are bad compared to older stuff.

PBS and PBS Sprout are absolutely marvelous!! !! My 2 1/2 year old is a big fan of WordWorld (new this year) and Thomas and Friends. And since we have Comcast, On Demand is even better.
