It's a toss up between "Cars that Ate Paris" -- one of the earlier efforts by Peter Weir who directed "The Truman Show" among other things. (Had to watch that one at school) and "Cannibal the Musical" by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. (aka the South Park guys.)

Donnie Darko, Dr. Strangelove, Serenity

Those are all three of my favorite movies, and they're sort of cult classics, but not really obscure at all, sorry.

Serenity is now an obscure cult classic?

No wonder it got canceled (if it was obscure).

Well, actually me and my girlfriend watched "Sado" (aka 120 Days of Sodom) early Thursday morning (without the use of drugs, which would've numbed that movie). That movie will give me nightmares until the universe implodes.

Actually, "Duel" was Spielberg's first ever movie, with "Sugarland Express" a close second.

Actually Version 2... it depends on how you define movie since Duel was a telemovie which ended up with a theatrical run overseas.

The Taste of Tea. It had some very funny weird moments, but was a bit too boring overall to be totally recommendable.
