Well we do have Leonard Nimoy coming out of retirement for this. :)

True, so there is hope. I personally feel that no one but Leonard can play Spock perfectly, but we will see. We will see. I really am hoping that Leonard's cameo is a good one. I would hate to go to the theater expecting something great and then be disappointed. Though, I doubt that will happen because Leonard always gives a wonderful performance no matter what. You all have no idea how much I love Spock or just what he means to me.

Good stuff.

(Did like that teaser, though.)

Good for you! I think that is the way to go with the movie. You cannot really judge something until you experience it firsthand. As for me, I will be doing the same thing. I will not see it the first day it is released, but after it has been out a few weeks, I will go. Then I will decide whether I like it or not.

A question, though. Has the title of the movie been released yet, or are they still calling it "Star Trek XI"?

They're just calling it "Star Trek".

There's no title. Hmm. Isn't that going to be confusing, especially as the original series is just called Star Trek? I think they really should give it a title, but that's just me.

That is the title, just as the first movie based on "Mission: Impossible" was called Mission: Impossible, and the only movie (loosely) based on "Wild Wild West" was called Wild Wild West. As it happens, none of the ST movies have been entitled Star Trek, so that kind of frees up the title for this movie - which is fitting, as it's seen as an attempt to "reboot" the franchise, rather than merely telling another extended tale.

Oh, I see. That makes sense - when you put it that way. :D
