I didn't know Rocko's Modern Life had adult humor in it too so in that case Nicktoons isn't just for kids, it's also for adults.

I wasn't allowed to watch Ren & Stempy when I was a kid and my mother prohibited my brothers and I from singing the Happy Joy Joy song.

What *were* you allowed to watch?

Another kick ass cartoon (on the internet) is happy tree friends. I see influence of ren and stimpy or itchy and scratchy in it. It is soooo disgusting and disturbing. I love it!

I don't remember much of the show...but I remember watching it as I remember the tune to the introduction song or whatever it's called.

I watched the episode from yesterday called Clean Love (I think that's the right title) and Spunky falls in love with Rocko's mop and I was surprised to see the show had sex in it but it was pretty discreet but it was obvious spunky was making love to it because Rocko was yelling at him when he found him in the closet and he was telling him what he did was very naughty. Ten years ago I would not have known this. I would not have understood why Rocko is mad at him for being in the closet. Rocko did mention his dog was making love to it and I knew that meant sex but ten years ago I would not have known that. Yep that show does have adult stuff in it but they make it pretty discreet because that show is also for kids too.

Yeah, but kids that age aren't going to know what those things are until they're older.

Another show, 2 Stupid Dogs, is similar in nature.

I recall watching this several years ago and can recall some funny episodes like the one where Rocko purchased a vacuum cleaner known as the suckomatic..funny indeed.

i've said this for a while. after Amanda Bynes came along everything on Nickelodeon started to suck...except Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents (and occasionally Danny Phantom).

that being said, yea Rocko was brilliant. my favorites were either Grandpa Wolfe ("i say we eat the beaver!") and The Widow Hutchinson, voiced by the great Kevin Meaney. and my favorite episode was probably the musical on recycling ("R-E-C-Y-C-L-E recycle...")

classic lines:
- "hey buddy! my wife's a sea mammal!"
- "what in the heeeellll...lllo?"
- "through the use of sophisticated computer technology...and a box of crayons..."
- "i've always liked Rainbows" (shock and disgust)
- "you saw my wife in her bathrobe??...wasn't it awful?"
- "if you're not nice to Mother Nature, she'll kick our butts."

awesome.
