There are family shows, you know!

They cancelled Star Trek
They stopped making SG-1
They moved Battlestar Galactica (the new one, not the caped Ponderosa one...;) to a different
time slot every other week.
Satellite got too expensive, and cable doesn't get this far out in the sticks.
Haven't watched since about October.
Haven't missed it (the missus is up in arms, she can't follow the soap operas...;)

I'm not much of a TV watcher to start with, but any new shows I was interested in were knocked off by the writers' strike. Now some of them are coming back, but oddly enough, I no longer care.

The only things worth watching for me on TV are:
Mythbusters
Dirty Jobs
How It's Made
24
The OC
American Idol - just to see Simon scold contestants
Hannity and Colmes

and a few other shows. I have no TV - I'm picking a Toshiba 26HL47 in the summer.

I love How It's Made, what a brilliant show.

What kind of show is that?

The only thing I am watching at the moment is Torchwood. I watch Doctor Who when it is the right time of year for it. I meant to watch Life in Cold Blood, and I am still meaning to watch the snake episode, but I can't be bothered at the moment.

These are the only current shows I frequently watch on TV:
30 Rock
The Office
Human Giant
Monk
Saturday Night Live
Pushing Daisies
Battlestar Galactica
Torchwood
Doctor Who

and non-fiction:
Countdown with Keith Olbermann
The Daily Show
Letterman
Conan O'Brien
Mythbusters
The Universe
Ninja Warrior
Later with Jools Holland

I used to watch "Heroes", but the second season was exactly what most fans feared it would be. "Heroes" has basically become the same as "Lost" (still no random polar bears, but I don't count it out).

I hardly ever watch TV anymore. Sometimes I switch to a music channel and enjoy the music, and maybe even have a look at the video.

90% of TV programmes don't interest me whatsoever. I enjoy the occasional cartoons and game shows, though.

They should bring back 'The Krypton Factor' or 'The Crystal Maze'

I hardly ever watch network T.V. I generally watch mainly sports related programming, such as skating, tennis and track and field. I also watch Discovery Health and listen to music on a station called "60s on 6" on Direct T.V. I also watch my DVD of Four Minutes. I haven't even taped anything in over a year because there is nothing to tape.

Are you kidding, it's on the Discovery channel, and shows you how different things are manufactured. Very interesting and enlightening:

How it's made is about various factories, and how things go from raw materials to finished products. You see each machine as it does a step in the process, with cheesy synth music, and a running commentary. Don't know why it's so fascinating, but it is...;)

I mean, the segments will be about ; say ping pong balls, toothpics, flutes, and...uh...M16s (or maybe I'm mixing that up with another show...;)

I haven't really watched broadcast TV in a long time.
Really, why bother?
Anymore, broadcast television consists mainly of terrible reality shows.

The type of programmes/films I like are rarely shown on TV anymore. I just stick to DVDs and YouTube now.
