They've figured out some things about time travel, especially since his old partner, Captain John, came by in the Series 2 opener, and they know that he has a child (that he had borne).

Hmm. You referring to Grey? Grey's His brother. When Jack's Planet was attacked, he and his brother ran. At some point Jack lost Grey, and never saw him again. At the end of Ep1-Season2, Cap John tells Jack he's found Grey, and then vanishes. That being said Cap John is back for the season/series 2 finale, and lets just say he's not alone ( at least I don't think he is, judging from the "next week on TW" bit)

the time travel functionality is broken on it however, but the Doctor does repair it for a while in the episode "The Last of the Time Lords" no idea at all if it is still working after thats sorted out.

Nope, the Doctor disables the time travel/transportation functionality at the end of that story arc. Saying he can't let Jack be skipping around time. After a bit of banter, Jack tells the Doc and co a bit that ties up a large subplot line.

No, I'm referring to Jack's mentioning having been pregnant - it was kind of an aside, in one of the earlier episodes, don't remember which one. John also made some reference to it, I think, when briefly discussing the five subjective years they spent in a two-week time loop.

Seems from the end of the episode "Fragments" that Jack's going to have to tell them more about his Time Agency days, though...

And Captain Jack is disturbingly hot.

What was the episode on last weekend?
The girl walks in on Cap'n Jack and some guy getting it on, awkward she walks out with the guy chasing after her, they start talking, and cap'n jack comes out and says:

"There's always room for one more."

I don't like the show, but he's my hero.

The episode was "Adrift". The other guy with Jack was Ianto Jones, who knows how to do just about everything around Torchwood (including Jack). The woman who walked in was Torchwood's newest member, Gwen Cooper-Williams (not sure if she kept her maiden name after marrying Rhys, hyphenated, or took his name, so I guessed). Of course, when I say "newest", I mean she joined up in the Series 1 premier, last year...

After "Fragments", I wonder if Rhys is becoming a de facto member of the team, though.

I got into Torchwood recently, watching season 1 for now. It's good.

That was addressed in the Doctor Who episode "Utopia", Victor. In essence, when Rose brought Jack back from the dead, she did so by using the power of the TARDIS to fix his condition at the point just before he died. Now he can't seem to age, and any time he dies, he reverts again to that fixed point. That's why the Doctor abandoned him on the Gamestation - apparently, Time Lords react to temporal anomalies like that in much the same way as some humans react to giant 30-foot tarantulas crawling toward them.
