One of my favorites. I relate to Larry David a lot actually... all the social things that he gets in trouble for... I'm frequently finding myself questioning social norms in the same way. Then he gets in trouble... and I always find myself rooting for good ole' Larry.
I'm a nicer, less foul mouthed version of Larry David...
I do too! I am kind of like a cranky old curmudgeon in a 28-year-old body with the emotional maturity of a ten-year-old. Transitioning to a cranky old man will be a seamless segue, methinks.
I saw an episode last night on Showcase (a Canadian cable network) and he made a point about lines and how the lines don't move at the same pace so having customers take a number as in a delicatessen would be a more efficient option.
Another point that resonated with me was when the doctor asked him about his urination habits and bowel movements when he went in for a malady with his ear. Seriously, what does one's bowel movements have to do with the ears? What perplexed me was how the doctor just pressed him and basically said 'I'm the doctor so I know better.' If his bowel movements were actually pertinent, why wouldn't he just explain why?
It seems people demand you accept stupid customs without the courtesy of telling you why it is relevant? If they can't explain why, it probably is irrelevant and thus unnecessary in the first place.
