I think that I might have taken a look at it when I was younger and it didnt realy interest me, though I did watch it to get to what I wanted. But I am a fan of Sailor Moon Abridged, it is one of the funnier Abridged series, if that counts.

Agreed.

Though it's a tie between the Abridged Sailor Moon and the Abridged Yu-Gi Oh series. maybe even Avatar or Bleach, but those two abridged (the good abridged ones) rate at least second.

btw.....have you seen Live Action Sailor Moon?

I'm in Roxas' boat. Most of the series was okay (I mean, Serena Tsukino is better than whatever 4Kids does to their anime dubs, like replacing Ichigo Momomiya with some crud like Zoey Roberts or whatever), but after the fact, I didn't really like it. Of course, this was when I found out they had to cut off Sailor Moon Stars for SPOILERS AHEAD the gender mixups of the Sailor Stars and the Uranus/Neptune relationship SPOILERS END and that the whole storyline got screwed up in removing mature content.

Kinda like the Pokemon anime - screwed up.

4kids...lol. 4Kids created Pokemon. 4Kids is the reason Digimon is much more liked. 4Kids is the reason Youtube was created. 4kids....4kids is something that half the purists out there can laugh at and use for great material.

I used to watch Sailor moon when I was younger.

My favourites out of the lot of them was probably the R series.
Oh and I mean the Real R series, not the censored to shreds dubbed one.
I also liked the Tomoe series.

I think at that age (Ami/Sailor Merc) was pretty much my idea of the perfect Girlfriend.
But if they could have broken away from "monster of the week" syndrome a bit more, it would have improved the series I think.

Whether you're a dub watcher or a sub watcher, or anything, just be glad we never got stuck with this:

OMG that was so bad I was laughing, it would be hard to find a parody that could purpously make it look that bad, if that was what hapend I would not have even left the tv on the same chanel.

Sailor Moon was never really an obsession for me, but I did go through a period of time where I identified with Sailor Uranus/Haruka because I was feeling particularly boyish and I had a haircut similar to hers.

That was just attrocious.
Was that the infamous NorthAm live action version?

I quite like the S season of Sailor Moon. Super S was kind of ret*d. It's a shame they made Haruka and Michiru cousins in the dub instead of leaving them lesbian lovers though.

[offtopic]Fidget, I just realized who that was in your avatar, that's Joshua from The World Ends With You, right? That game is officially my all time favorite. Anyways, back to topic at hand[/offtopic]

yeah, at one point i used to be hooked on Sailor Moon when i was 12. when i was in Japan last fall, i went to museum/studio park in Kyoto and i was shocked to find out a full on display of a Power Rangers exhibit room (i was a fan of theirs, too!)...and a picture of the 'live action' Sailor Moon series cast. here's a clip of them just in case you missed it:

Ah, Sailor Moon... It'll always have a little spot in my heart. I remember watching it on Toonami after school. If I didn't finish my homework by the time it came on, I wasn't allowed to watch it. Tantrums ensued... I actually recently bought the entire boxed set of all the seasons and movies in the original Japanese with subtitles in a fit of nostalgia. Good stuff.
