Well.. Because I can't pick just one since I love so many games I'll list by system which are my favorite games for that system.
Playstation:
FF8, FF9, Lunar SSSC, Lunar EBC, Bloody Roar, SaGa Frontier, Jade Cocoon
PS2:
FFX, FFX-2, SMT: Digital Devil Saga, SMT: Nocturne, Shadow Hearts, Shadow Hearts 2
Gamecube:
Skies of Arcadia Legends, Baten Kaitos, Super Smash Bros .Melee
And now I must ramble about them... Since just listing them isn't enough for me. Out of the normal PS games I have to say FF8 really sticks since that was the first rpg I ever played. The graphics just sucked me in and the plot really drew my attention as well. I've noticed that some people didn't like it or finish it that I've known in the past, but I thought it rocked. Jade Cocoon was also really cool, one of the first games I came across that used voice actors in it. And as for Lunar I have just one word that epitomizes the best feature of that game: Ghaleon. Now ps2 games on the other hand it's a little harder for me to say out of those listings that there's only one I like best. I'm on a big DDS kick right now, hence my avatar but I think FFX I truly truly heart as a game. That and Shadow Hearts, which just blew me away with it's wonderfully dark and intricate plotlines. As for the 'cube I'm not so crazy about it. Baten Kaitos is about the only game in the three I listed that REALLY sticks to my gamers ribs due to it's wonderful plot, innovative gameplay, and soundtrack. Unfortunately I have to say that Super Smash Bros. Melee is the only nintendo produced game I can truly tolerate and even then it's when I'm feeling in a mindnumbing-need-to-whack-stuff mode. I'm not great at platformers is why I think I've got something against Nintendo.
