Gyakuten Saiban, also known as "The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney film". It is probably the best video game movie ever.

The Ace Attorney games (or more specifically, the characters) used to be a minor special interest for me. I was worried that the movie wouldn't be good, but now I want to see it. I hope they release it on Region 1 DVD soon.

Dark Shadows (2012)

Has its moments, but it's mostly boring. Tim Burton is on autopilot.

I agree with you, and I am usually a die-hard fan of anything Burton and Depp do as a team. I wanted to like this movie so badly, because I was extremely excited about it prior to its release and Johnny Depp movies are my special interest, but in all honesty it was a huge disappointment for me.

I speculate that maybe Warner Bros and maybe even Burton himself might've known that the movie was going to suck, and that's why it took them so long to release the trailer for it and why they barely put out any merchandise for it (a couple of shirts and a line of nail polishes were all I could find on eBay after multiple searches).

I could only find a version with brazilian portugueses subtitles. If you are interested, here it is, in three parts:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xu8ifc ... shortfilms
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xu8km2 ... shortfilms
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xu8ong ... shortfilms

They cut A LOT of things from the game (e. g., the "Turnabout Samurai" case is a minor background event between Edgeworth and a random lawyer happening at the same time as Phoenix's first case) and changed a few others (e. g., Manfred von Karma is actually a sympathetic character with only a subtle reference to being Edgeworth's legal guardian, Gumshoe is actually competent, the DL-6 Incident is a little different and you will feel VERY sorry for Yanni Yogi), but the plot is basically the same. And the actors and actresses are perfect.

Argo- Alan Arkin was awesome. John Goodman was great as always. Bryan Cranstan terrific!

The Big Lebowski

Truly one of the very funny movies of recent times. I give it a Pee in My Pants rating of +8 out of 10.

My Pee in My Pants champion is Galaxy Quest. Anyone familiar with the sci vi Com Com scene would probably agree.

I'm actually glad to hear that Von Karma is sympathetic in this movie. Truth be told, he was always one of my favorite characters despite being a massive bastard in the games. The fact that he now has sympathy points finally gives me an excuse to like him. Also glad to hear that Gumshoe is competent for once.

But the most important thing is that the actors/actresses do the characters justice, and it definitely sounds like that is the case (no pun intended). Now I really need to watch this movie! :D

I just got back from seeing Pitch Perfect.

It's a musical that's not a musical and if you do see this movie, a warning, there are a few scenes that will gross you out. {There are about 3 or 4 of them.}

Overall, I did enjoy this movie, laughed a lot.

2001: a Space Odyssey

I'm still confused on some parts of the movie.

I went to see Skyfall yesterday.

The best Bond film with Craig in for sure; if not the greatest contemporary Bond film. A more than fitting tribute to the James Bond franchise for its 50th anniversary.

I can't wait to see Skyfall, I live in Canada and it will be out in a couple of weeks. :D

Try purchasing a ticket in advance so you won't have to wait in line once it opens.

I saw 'The Raven', a murder mystery inspired by the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe.

I'm hanging out for Skyfall too.
