Yeah, I know she'll still be a background character, I'm just saddened. I originally preordered the DVD to support the show, now I guess there's an extra bonus in the form of the original scene, and I still have the torrented version as well, aaaand I still have my MLP t-shirts, two of which are Derpy!

I know how you feel! I saw the post on EQD yesterday morning (UK time) & I was in a bad mood all day :(

The original scene was a loving shout out to bronies and now they had to change it for no good reason. Now the show probably won't ever do something like that again.

I kind of wish the community would just let the whole Derpy thing slide. The show went too far for the sake of fan service, realized their mistake, went too far in correcting it, but petitions and internet rage aren't going to fix anything.

I think it's pretty funny how Derpy seems to get hidden in many episodes, like an easter egg for the fans. Did anyone notice her floating in Cranky Doodle's snowglobe?

When this whole thing first started I sent an email to one of the writers to show my support for the show and she sent me a nice email back. Then when this whole modified thing happened I was ready to sign petitions and argue, but I didn't. I'm done. I don't think petitions and emails to Hasbro will do anything, whatever. Derpy will always be Derpy (I have a t-shirt that says so, lol). I just don't want this sort of stuff to affect the show any more.

I'm looking forward to next week's episode! :) I like the idea of Fluttershy becoming assertive... um... that is... if you don't mind...

also I'm going to my first brony meeting on Saturday! I live out in the middle of nowhere but it's nice to know there are other bronies in my area! at least 2 of my friends will be there, but it's always nice to meet new people! :)
