Was that a President Sarah Palin?!?!?! I don't know what would be worse - -a Nazi invasion from the moon, of a Palin presidency!

Yeah.... Palin 2018!

This movie is definitely worth an hour and a half on netflix or amazon.... It actually has some really good production values during the battle scenes.

Between this and Rare Exports I'm really developing a love affair for Scandinavian SCI-Fi! :D

"The Future" by Miranda July. I really enjoy July's deadpan surrealism. I prefer her previous film "You, Me and Everyone We Know" but this one was interesting.

It's probably not for everyone however. The film is narrated by a cat. Who gets euthanized before the film is over. One character stops time and has a hard time getting it started again. He talks to the moon. And the moon talks back. And there's a shirt that slowly crawls around, following another character.

Anna Karenina.

The format took some getting used to. But it was pretty good.

Thanks for that(!)

Off to see it tonight. I hope it's awesome, but it helps that I'm a big fan of spaghetti westerns anyway.

Clerks

Movie about a day in the lives of two convenience clerks. Sometimes funny, sometimes disturbing. Shown in Black and White dispite being made in 1994.

Love that movie, and its sequel. Which considering Clerks never really needed a sequel, Clerks 2 was better than it had any right to be. Of the other Jay and Silent Bob films I like Mallrats and Dogma the best.

Clerks II

Sequel to Clerks made 12 years later. I agree with you, eelektrik, for I just watched it and it seemed to work well with the first one.

I saw Knowing very recently, found it was an excellent film, one of the best I've seen in quite a while.

Unknown (2011)

Basically Taken 1.5, it's another enjoyable action thriller with a pissed-off Liam Neeson trying to get something back and killing everything standing between him and it. I could watch these things all day.

Looper (2012)

Add this to the list of great recent sci-fi films along with Sunshine, Moon, District 9, and Prometheus. The only bad thing about it is Joseph Gordon-Levitt's horrible make-up, which I think was applied in a poor attempt at making him look like the young Bruce Willis.
