Two films with pneumatic message tubes...

"Brazil" and "The Hudsucker Proxy"

Somebody else also said Brazil recently. How was the movie for you?

The Awful Dr. Orloff.
French, black and white film from 1961.
Dr. Orloff wasn't the only thing awful about this movie.

The Maltese Falcon

After a private detective's partner is murdered, he is caught up in a case that involves a statuette that turns out to be fake.

That would be me. To me, the movie was a letdown due to the ending.

Just finishing up watching The Howling. Even after more than thirty years, it's a first rate horror film. Plus, Dee Wallace back then was a hottie!

I've always liked the film for its visuals and humor although it took me quite some time to really understand the point that it was making. I saw it when it first came out but never really understood the ending until the previous time I saw it (maybe 6 months ago). I used to think the ending didn't know where it was going and just finally stopped rather than come to a logical conclusion. But maybe with age and a bit more experience, now the ending makes complete sense and I like the film a lot more for that.

I think "Brazil" is one of the best (if not THE best) work of art about the dangers of oppressive government. I think its serious themes are often overpowered by the humor. While it remains a very funny film, the more I watch it, the more the darker themes become clear such as that of ignoring the dangers of oppression against people you don't know.

The Last of the Mohicans (1992)

Big Hollywood romance epic with a sappy love story and thrilling action scenes. It's like Titanic, only with much better acting and writing.

Stoker

The English-language debut of director Park Chan-Wook. {Oldboy}

Great performances by Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, and Matthew Goode.
If Stoker is playing in your area, I recommend seeing Stoker, as this movie is very Hitchcockian in tone {Yes, there even is a "shower scene", but not what you'll expect the "shower scene" to be like.} and Matthew Goode's performance as creepily charming
Uncle Charlie will remind the viewer of both Norman Bates and Patrick Bateman.

Eraser and Collateral Damage

Two Arnold movies. One is about Arnold as a U.S. Marshal for the WITSEC. The other has Arnold as a firefighter whose family is killed in a terrorist attack.

Armageddon

My dad and I were just criticizing the movie for the scientific flaws and other things. At least the song "I don't want a miss a thing" is good.

Bad Teacher.
Cameron Diaz is a superficial hottie in this comedy about teachers.

I adore Mia Wasikowska; I've never been disappointed with any of her movies/roles, so Stoker is on my list of must-sees. :)

I'm also going to see Oz, The Great and Powerful on Monday. Figured I should let you know since you posted that you liked it. I will post my thoughts when I come back from the theater.

Just recently watched Frankenweenie (2012). Sweet story with a good message about how society casts its doubts on science, with great voice acting and very well-done stop-motion animation. Another nice effort by Tim Burton. Love the closing song sung by Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs too.
