Evil Dead.
That's the remake. I liked this movie. It had genuine scares, shocks that made me jump in my seat, and gruesome, cringe worthy stuff, and gallons of gore. Perhaps the best testimony that could be paid to this movie is how the couple a few seats down from my wife and I in the theater got up and left before the movie was over, after the woman was shrilling and crying.

Django Unchained. A long western/action movie with some nice humor and lots of blood
