Evil Dead.
That's the remake. I liked this movie. It had genuine scares, shocks that made me jump in my seat, and gruesome, cringe worthy stuff, and gallons of gore. Perhaps the best testimony that could be paid to this movie is how the couple a few seats down from my wife and I in the theater got up and left before the movie was over, after the woman was shrilling and crying.

I want to see this film. The fact that it got that reaction makes me want to see it more.

Wreck-It Ralph. Great movie with bonuses for gamers and, to an extent, computer geeks.

Life of Pi

A man tells a story of how he survived a shipwreck and journey with a Bengel tiger. Beautiful and sad.

Amusingly, when the film came out, its website was www.feardotcom.com.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Part One of the fantasy adventure chronicles the tale of Bilbo Baggins, a Hobbit who sets out on an epic quest with Gandalf the Grey and the Company of Dwarves to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and it's treasure from the evil dragon Smaug.

Just like the LOTR flicks, it's very very long with our heroes encountering orcs, trolls, rock giants and cave goblins en route to Smaug, as well as a cameo from Gollum and his aforementioned "precious"

Part 2 is due for release this winter, but AUJ is brilliant.
