Being There

Chance, a gardener who has never been outside the estate of his employer, has to leave when his employer passes away. Having learned what he knows from television, his words are often mistaken for more insightful thoughts. Excellent movie!

I like to watch.

From Hell
I know Alan Moore hates movies based on his work... But I still enjoy this flawed movie. I love the graphic novel even more though.

A standard by-the-numbers biopic that proves the obvious about America; that America still has a long way to go before racism becomes obsolete.

I wanted to see it since it's true story, but I was hesitant since its about racism. I didn't want to see violence. Did you like the film?

No, though I would like to see 42 again.

Django Unchained.

Great shoot'em up Western, with lots of blood and humor.
Especially noticed stand out performances:
Christoph Waltz as German born dentist turned bounty hunter, gunman, and Django's mentor, King Schultz (as an American of German extraction, I'm happy to see a German character shown in a positive light).
And Samuel L. Jackson as Stephen, a sinister Uncle Tom and head house slave of the movie's villain.
A definite must see.

Awesome film. I am buying it when it comes out.

+1, the best film I have seen this year even though it is a 2012 release, I thought it was much better than Argo and I don't understand why it didn't win film of the year.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2
(I lost my Sorcerer's Stone otherwise I would have watched it as well. I hated watching it out of order, but I had to have my Harry Potter fix.)

"The Last Remake of Beau Geste" by Marty Feldman - this is a good sort of film for watching without really paying close attention. The "Beau Geste" story is in just about the most uninteresting genre I can think of so a parody of it is only going to entertain me so much. I like Mary Feldman and really wish I liked this film more but I just didn't. Maybe "In God We Trust" will be better.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The first part of a prequel trilogy to Lord of the Rings. Bilbo Baggins tells about his adventure which includes him acquiring the sword Sting and the One Ring from Gollum. Excellent movie! Can't wait for the other two!

Argo

Ben Affleck stars and directs this film showing the successful CIA-Canadian operation which 6 americans were rescued out of Iran in 1980. Great movie!

Thank you, Canada! :D
