I finished watching the Japanese crime/horror film Ichi The Killer. Not for the faint of stomach.

I'm currently watching Emilio Estevez and Harry Dean Stanton in Repo Man. A movie I can never get tired of watching.

Ben Affleck stars and directs this film showing the successful CIA-Canadian operation which 6 americans were rescued out of Iran in 1980. Great movie!

Thank you, Canada! :D

The motion picture twisted some of the facts a bit. It was -mostly- a Canadian operation. And that nonsense at the end, the plane taking off was pure Hollywood.

Here in canada alot of people were upset. Ben Afflect had dinner with Ken Taylor to smooth things over. All is well now.

Oblivion

I was surprised by the amount of humor that was in the movie; An example: a bobblehead doll named "Bob" that Tom Cruise's character sometimes speaks to while on patrol.

Jack {Tom Cruise} is a drone repairman who repairs drones on Earth with the help of Victoria, his co-worker/girlfriend. What Jack doesn't know is everyone left Earth for a reason, but it wasn't the reason he believes.

Overall, a very well-done sci-fi movie, though there are two more sci-fi flicks due this summer that are similar to Oblivion, the movies are After Earth and Elysium.

District 9.
Great Sci/Fi distopic film addressing racism and South African Apartheid - - but with Aliens. And adressing the question, what line divides us from them.

The Place Beyond The Pines

A very emotional drama about fathers and sons. Many have compared The Place Beyond The Pines to
the 2005 film Crash, but The Place Beyond The Pines is a much better movie.

Ryan Gosling's and Bradley Cooper's performances were superb. If I ever met a guy who was experiencing issues similar to Officer Avery Cross' {Bradley Cooper}, I wouldn't know whether to hug him or whether to tell him to go into hiding.

I cried at the end.
