Definitely lives up to - if not surpasses - the previous movie.
The cast does a great job - again - playing the original series characters. Great references to the old series, as well as the movies.
Special note taken on Benedict Cummberbach as Kirk's new nemesis, and who he really is!

I have been hearing nothing but good reviews about it. 8)

No, I don't think so, Jory.

Me too!

Saw Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

I still hate Jar Jar and I'm blaming someone for making me watch it, knowing it will piss me off.

Citizen Kane

When a publishing tycoon passes away, reporters attempt to discover the meaning behind his last word: 'Rosebud.' They never realize it was the name of his sled from his childhood.

I saw Star Trek Into Darkness in 3D yesterday and thought this was a great sequel, much better than the 2009 reboot.
Benedict Cumberbatch pulled off a great performance as new villain John Harrison and Leonard Nimoy has a cameo as Spock.

Texas Chainsaw (2013) - Anybody who walks into this expecting a great movie is kidding himself. This is the kind of movie that goes well with beer and pizza.

Tomorrow You're Gone - Direct-to-video noir that makes no sense. This is more of an atrocity than Texas Chainsaw (2013).

A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III - A celebration of misogyny. Charlie Sheen plays an unlikable character who does morally reprehensible things, and then he gets redemption at the end of the film without doing anything to really earn it.

Gotta love Netflix. Sometimes.

I saw Pitch Perfect two nights ago. It was pleasant although the plot was terrible.

Field of Dreams

An Iowa corn farmer hears a voice and builds a baseball diamond in his field. Then Joe Jackson and the other 1919 Black Sox players arrive.

Star Trek into Darkness

I liked Benedict Cumberpatch's villain a lot. Also, I thought the action scenes were great.

Prometheus

Semi-prequel to Alien. A team of explorers, seeking the origin of mankind on Earth, journey to a distant world. Good special effects.

That's one Coen Brother's movie I've never seen. How was it?

I really liked it. It is a screwball comedy kind of like Bringing Up Baby or His Girl Friday. I Like Geoffrey Rush as a sniviling hollywood producer. George Clooney at his Carey Grantesque best. I had a really hard time finding a copey of this film but I am happy that I finally have one in my collection.
