I saw Star Trek Into Darkness the other day.
Not bad.

Dead Poets Society and Pitch Perfect.
DPS is supposed to be a really inspirational movie but I just found it sad. Throughout the first bit of the movie I was thinking how Neil is such a happy person and then he goes and kills himself.
Pitch Perfect on the other hand was a really happy movie, although the plot was terrible.

Would you recommend DPS? I thought I should watch it sometimes but I first wanted to know what kind of movie that is. Like does it resemble any other movies?

I watched Leaving Las Vegas and Blue Valentine.
Both are depressing movies. Although Leaving Las Vegas seems even more sad since it's about suicide and being damaged whild Blue Valentine is more about damaged relationships. Which is sad, too.
But after watching Leaving Las Vegas, I seriously felt gloomy.

Years ago, when my friends and I were watching Leaving Las Vegas, we were all three sheets to the wind, and so were pretty impressed with that scene where Nicholas Cage drinks a beer underwater.

Yes, I would recommend DPS, it's got lots of symbolism behind it and a strong message, although it is sad. I can't think of any movies it reminds me of.

Frankenweenie (2012)

My faith in Tim Burton has been restored. This is his best since Ed Wood.

Epic

It was better than I thought it would be. The main character is shrunken into a world of tiny people. Tiny soldiers fight to keep the balance of the forest in their favor.

I have wanted to see this movie for a while. Is it any good? Tom Cruise worries me.

I'm not much of an anime fan, but I recently saw a film called Colorful and was surprised by how daring it was with its emotional themes. I actually winced a few times, but it was incredibly good. I'll never understand why titles like this don't warrant the attention that some of the popular names do.
