I'm finishing up the therapy episode LMAO. This is classic. 8)

OK I officially hate Shiv now. And Kendall. And the dad. And Tom.

No clue what to think now. Maybe Team Willa or Team Greg?

Did you ever watch Big Little Lies?

You missed out team Macaulay Culkin :nerdy:

You'll flipflop a few more times before the end

I haven't watched Big Little Lies, does it have an Isabella seal of approval?

Yes, it's fully Isabellean in its complexity and psychological nuance.

Five Linton stars :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

I don't remember if I ever saw the second season, but one was definitely enough.

From Wikipedia:

Big Little Lies is an American drama television series based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. Created and written by David E. Kelley, it premiered on HBO on February 19, 2017, and concluded on July 21, 2019,[2][3] encompassing 14 episodes and two seasons. Originally billed as a miniseries, Jean-Marc Vallée directed the first season, while Andrea Arnold directed the second season.[4][5]

Big Little Lies stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz as five women in Monterey, California, who become embroiled in a murder investigation. Alexander Skarsgård, Adam Scott, James Tupper and Jeffrey Nordling also feature in supporting roles. For the second season, Meryl Streep joined the main cast while Kathryn Newton and Iain Armitage were upgraded following their appearances in recurring capacities.

The series has received critical acclaim, particularly for its writing, directing, acting, cinematography and soundtrack. The first season received 16 Primetime Emmy Award nominations and won eight, including Outstanding Limited Series, a directing award for Vallée, and acting awards for Kidman, Skarsgård, and Dern. The trio also won Golden Globe Awards in addition to a Best Miniseries or Television Film win for the series. Kidman and Skarsgård also received Screen Actors Guild Awards for their performances.

Woah, high praise indeed. I'll give it a go.

Now I wanna watch it again, but I'll have to wait for the end of Succession.

Speaking of which I should likely put it on again tonight.

That cocaine party episode was soooo weird.

I was half asleep and thought it was a dream sequence.

How do I do spoiler alert things here? I don't want to say too much.

Okay, so its not a television episode, but I don't want to create additional threads unnecessarily.

This is what a Muslim taxi ride looks like in the United Kingdom. Usually very respectful in my area, from our perspective, anyway. Muslims regularly get abused by White working class extreme right-wingers, or ghosted by White communist women. And they get less than minimum wage since they get measured on things like mileage and petrol instead of a regular standard wage.

Muslim taxi drivers have a hard life. I once had one yell out of a window "eff off" when I asked for a taxi ride, but, I like them generally anyway.

I finished Season 1 Succession.

Binged the entire first season of Big Little Lies in one sitting.

Far too much telly lately but a nice change of pace.

My mom and me both liked it. We had stop watching it for awhile because it is heavy. The director did a good job of making you feel unsettled and hopeless. We just got back to it and finished season 1 and started season 2.

I definitely would not have wanted to live in that time period especially if I needed help from the law. They definitely did a great job portraying how ineffective detectives wore before science and medicine got involved in the process. It's terrifying to think how many people were falsely put to death.

What did you think if you watched it?

My wife and I very much enjoyed it for the very same reasons you mentioned.

"Enrique-ciliable Differences", King of the Hill (2005).

It's the one where Enrique, Hank's co-worker, is having marital problems and become emotionally overdependent on Hank. Also, Bobby and Joseph have to guess the parental control password so they can watch the Daytona 500.
