I doubt this very much. Regardless, he still fits the role. And the role is offensive.

I found out only yesterday that this is the one with whom I have been compared on no less than five occasions by both faculty and students. The only reason for why I feel offended is that it is a TV character. Although I now see that it may be an affectionate parody after all, I still dislike the television for personal and intellectual reasons. Does the show contain vileness, vulgarity, or violence and does this Sheldon character partake in any of them?

Not unless you coundt assault of the brain by the writers when they had the "Soft Kitty" song. It got stuck in my head for weeks! It was like a spider monkey running through a revolving door!

The show does contain a fair amount of vulgarity. Depends on what you are trying to avoid. There are a lot of sexual references.

That makes one more show to avoid. I wish I could see it for myself, but I still have the self-image of one who requires forms to view PG-13 movies despite being 16. Maybe if someone could make a censored (and confirmed) version, I would watch it and reconsider my opinions.

My kids have watched it since it's been on tv. There isn't anything horrible in it. I believe CBS's websit has episodes. Try there and watch one. It's nothing that I would be upset that kids saw, by any means. My youngest is 15.

I have the mentality of a twelve year old when it comes to, "entertainment," and the vulgarity, vileness, and violence. Can it really be rated PG?

I wouldn't mind if a 5year old watched it. By mentality of a 12yo, what exactly do you mean? My youngest saw South Park and The Soprano's at 12. There is a huge difference between double entandres, which the show makes much of, and outright pornography.

Trust me on that one.

I would prefer that there are no sexual references or profanities. In other words, decency. Therefore, I will not watch entertainment with ratings above PG. I may sound like an adult and experience time like an elder, but I am just a teenager with little social interest.

I like Sheldon. Sometimes I feel like he's overused though. I enjoy when the episodes are about at least a couple of the characters.

My sister also likes the show but hasn't picked up on his aspieness. I didn't mention it when she was talking about him recently as I didn't want her to think I was self centered & always talking about it. She said something like "I think he's getting worse". I was thinking that it was just the situation of that week that caused it. Like I will definitely seem way worse in certain situations.

Also when she visits she tends to steal my seat on the couch, lol. I totally empathize with him on that. Did you guys see the episode with the bird?

I also relate to Raj because of my awful Social Anxiety, except mine isn't just with the opposite sex (though it can be worse with them) but sometimes I can't talk.

This may not be that funny on it's own (I did remember it as funnier than when I rewatched it just now), but I'm quite sure this clip is G rated

That does seem to be PG at most, so thank you for the piece.

Now, I am surprised that there are five separate comparisons by students and staff. I intone only slightly (often described as monotone), I would not call people (frugal with minutes), I would only enter infinite loops mentally (in response to paradoxes), I am not interested in romance (or most relationships, for that matter), I do not wear colorful clothing (unintentional if it ends up being that), I stand rather still when talking (to the point that only the mouth and hands are moving when I remember to make random gestures), and I am not spatially organized to the point of using flowcharts. That was a very odd comparison. Now I wonder about the other one.

Well, watching the Big Bang Theory will certainly make you run out and have sex with every girl you see, therefore ruining it for your future wife.

My bad for suggesting it.

Have you seen the Duggar's show?

I do not watch television. Not only do the flashes and noises distract me, I have come to the conclusion that most of the shows are now corrupt. With that in mind, I believe I can remain pure. I do not think I can easily overcome my aversion to touching other people.

And BTW, someone else said the actor is gay. If you became gay, that would SURELY ruin it for your future wife. I wouldn't chance it. It's too risky.

I'd also watch out for the feminine hygeine commercials and viagra like pills commercials on regular tv.

Don't wanna be getting any ideas now!
