I just want to point out two things here:

First, Doctor 10 gets over his dislike of cats. In the episode "Gridlock", he is shown to be cuddling kittens. Techically kitten-humanoid creatures, but the point still stands.

Second, if you know you're going to die, it's acceptable to be emotional.

Well its fine to be emotional, but regenerating isn't dying. Eleven believed that he would die, like actually die, but he was more mature about it.. there was a sadness but also an acceptance, whereas Ten tried to run away from it and moped around more.

It has been explained that although regenerating is not dying, it feels like dying. I can quote you an episode if you like.

Before he became more mature about it however, Doctor 11 did a similar thing, even if he labeled it as a "Farewell Tour". It was only when he heard of the Brigader's death that he turned round to face his death.

I'll say this though, while being at least a bit emotional at a death/regeneration is expected, you're right in that the final episodes were way too emotional. It was sad (pathetic) in how sad (sad) it was.

Yeah I see what you mean. Let's face it though over the years it has became more oriented to the younger audience and less appealing to the more mature audience. I do agree with you though that it is a family show. Just not as much as it used to be.

I agree. I think the problem is that some writers don't quite get it. They think their episodes have to be aimed at kids. Love & Monsters, Fear Her and Night Terrors are good examples. There is a great interview from Steven Moffat where he addresses how children's and adults' shows are handled today, specifically Doctor Who and Sherlock. He really seems to get it, and I think it's a shame that other people don't.

I've seen The Sara Jane Adventures spin-off, so I think I know what a kid's version of Doctor Who would look like and it's substantially different.

Sarah Jane Adventures is a complete kids version of Doctor Who. Doctor Who still has that family orientation to it, it has just became more orientated to children over the years (mainly since Smith.)

Last episode, "The Power of Three" was cool! Loved that they brought Kate Lethbridge-Stuwart onto the show finally! Totally awesome!

Next episode is the fall finale. Does anyone know when the show will be coming back? :D

He's not completely asexual. We know for a fact that he has a granddaughter, and the writers have alluded to him having children/partners (who are all dead now). He calls the TARDIS "sexy". He marries River Song (though to what degree they're romantically involved is still a little up in the air).

David Tennant may have been more sexually charged than the other Doctors, and is the only one (that I'm aware of) to openly allude to having sex with somebody. But overall I'd say the Doctor would be best described as panromantic.

Yeah, but it was odd that they suddenly changed from "Monsters who send people back in time" to "the ultimate malevolent force in the universe which kills for sadistic pleasure".

I like the new description. But then again I'm big on "flowery" descriptions. I use a lot of words to day very basic things. :P

I noticed that too. Still like the angels, though.

Yeah. I'm willing to forgive that particular Retcon since it got us more angels. :)

The "Dalek parliament" still puzzles me though. :?

The show will be back on Christmas Day 2012 for the Christmas special and then in Spring 2013 with 8 more episodes. I'm not sure when Doctor Who is broadcast in America though, sorry.

They Angels are plenty of fun, I liked seeing the couple variations too. And with the big one, it is possible to be inside ana angel right? :P

That was sad. I meant we all knew they were gonna be gone, but it was done so cruelly. One minute everything's okay and the next they're both dead. So It goes.

Rory never even got to say goodbye. And poor Rory's dad, whatever will become of him? Will the Doctor be able to tell him what happened?
