Yay, I'm a Whovian! Though I haven't seen any of the classic Who yet. My doctor is 9, but my favourite one is ... er ... 10 or 11, can't decide. I LOVE the whole River Song storyline though, so I'm probably gonna go with Matt. For some reason I haven't "connected" with the new season that's airing now, so I'll have to watch the previous season again and then the new in chronological order. It's just that I'm currently in the middle of obsessing about Supernatural (again!), and with Who episodes airing only once a week it's hard to get in the "mindset"!

Yowza! I love both Ten and Eleven and River! Oh, have you heard about the extra special Christmas episode yet involving a certain someone?

YES!! I'm so excited about that! It'll be so interesting to see the chemistry between twelve and River!

Woohoo! I was hoping River would come back. Not quite sure where they would be on their relative timelines. Should be interesting, to say the least.

My Whovian friend put about twenty overly excited exclamation marks on her email when she told me about River coming back. It was pretty funny. Can you imagine River coming up to Twelve and saying 'Hello, Sweetie' and him looking bamboozled, surprised, incredulous, extremely happy, and embarrassed all at once?

Didn't River say in an episode something along the line of "I know all of his faces"?

Yes, but she meant that she had seen pictures of his other selves, not actually met them. I could be wrong, though.

So.... Opinions on the Doctor abandoning his sonic screwdriver for sunglasses?

A necessary move with the times or a heinous heresy that must be cleansed with fire and never spoken of again (like Paul McGann)? :D

I love his sonic sunglasses! They're awesome [especially the way he has to stick the handle part into a computer to sonic stuff]!

I think the sonic sunglasses are okay for 12. I was kind of hoping they'd just be around for a few episodes, but even if they stick around for the rest of his run, that'll be okay. I just hope it doesn't start a trend where all of the Doctors have different sonic devices from now on. I mean, having something different that you wouldn't expect works great in some situations, but in others it's just impractical or downright silly. So I'm pretty "meh" :| about the sunglasses and hope the screwdriver will come back at some point, even if it's not until we get a new Doctor.

Hey, does anyone want to play the 'Doctor Who Obsession Game'?
I'll start.
You know you are obsessed with Doctor Who when:
1) You have a box full of Doctor Who costumes
2) You tried to learn how to play the recorder
3) You tell people that you're 'reversing the polarity of the neutron flow' when you really have no idea what you're doing
4) You wear a really long scarf
5) You try to stick a plastic piece of celery in your lapel
6) You wear really odd clothing
7) You carry an umbrella around with you
8) You pretend that the Doctor Who movie never existed
9) You bring bananas everywhere you go
10) You wear a long trenchcoat
11) You say 'Geronimo!' when jumping into things
12) You wear sunglasses all the time

[All of these actually apply to me.]

What? You mean Sylvester McCoy and his sonic spoons wouldn't have worked? :D :D

Acing this game would be quite a challenge. Has anyone ever tried to cosplay all the doctors at once? It's reaching the point where it would be pretty down challenging.

Is it me, or did they let a fairly big spoiler slip in one of the interstitials during the last episode?
