From an episode of The Saint called 'The Reluctant Revolution' (1966). Not sure what this model is, but probably American.

Here's a rear end view of the same car.

This very impressive looking Mercedes appears in a 1966 episode of The Saint entitled 'The Helpful Pirate'. From what I've been able to discover, it's probably a W108 or W109 model, which were manufactured in the years 1965-72.

From the same episode. Took me quite a while to identify this, as these were never seen on UK roads. Initially thought it might be an Opel Rekord (sales also confined largely to the German market), to which it bears some resemblance, but in fact it's a Ford Taunus from the P5 series (1964-67).

An E-Type Jaguar, from a 1966 episode of The Saint entitled 'The Angel's Eye'.

Image

From the same episode, A Vauxhall Velox PB (1962-65). Vauxhall's early-mid 60s luxury saloon, with a 3.3 litre engine, very closely related to the almost identical Vauxhall Cresta PB.

Hello, this looks familiar! See a very recent post in this thread above.

A very nice looking MGB from a 1969 episode of The Saint entitled 'The Man Who Gambled With Life'.

DSS Mike Shepherd's car on Brokenwood. License plate New Zealand FT 1387. It's a 1971 Holden Kingswood, coloured somewhere between fawn and cream.

It looks like Takumi had a little work done on the Corolla. 8O

A Ford Corsair from a July 1967 episode of 'The Saint'. These were made from 1963-1970, and were not a huge success, it is fair to say. That may be due to a large extent to its rather less than impressive V4 engine, which ran pretty roughly and wasn't especially powerful.

This is a 'day for night' scene, and the image isn't great in terms of quality. The episode features other interesting cars, including a Ford Anglia van and one of the legendary Wolseley 6/110 police cars, but it wasn't possible to get satisfactory screenshots of them.

A Citroen DS in a 1968 episode of The Saint entitled 'The Better Mousetrap'. This was an executive model manufactured from 1955 to 1975, and there has been one in every episode set in France that I've seen (it's probably the same car).

Maybe some people would describe this as 'the quintessential French car'?

Some interesting specimens here from a 1967 episode of The Saint entitled 'Locate and Destroy'. That Mercedes seems to have been used before, and maybe one of the American cars.

This car appears in a 1968 episode of The Saint called 'The Desperate Diplomat'. No idea what it is, but it does look very nice. Definitely not a British model, maybe French or Italian.

An East German police car from a 1966 episode of The Saint entitled 'Paper Chase'. From what I've been able to discover, the most likely identification of the vehicle is a Russian made Volga GAZ-M21. It certainly has the Volga badge on the rear.

From a 1967 episode of The Saint, entitled 'The Russian Prisoner'. Not entirely sure, but looks like one of the late 1960s Ford Taunus 12 M range.

Image

From the same episode, this car is used to ferry various Soviet officials around Geneva, so I'm presuming it's a genuine Russian model of that era, unless it's some kind of mock-up. Unable to identify it so far.

A Wolseley 6/110 from a March 1968 episode of 'The Saint'. Best known for their service as police cars.

An Austin Healey 3000 from a March 1968 episode of 'The Saint' entitled When Spring Is Sprung. This model, and others like The Triumph TR4/5/6 range were sometimes referred to as 'hairy-chested sports cars' (ie real sports cars), as opposed to the likes of the Triumph Stag and Triumph TR7, which were often dismissed as 'hairdressers cars'.

Image

A very imposing American car from the same episode. No idea what it is. Anyone?

An MG 1300 from episode 2 of The Baron (1966). These were made by BMC/British Leyland and were the same as the Austin-Morris 1300s, except for the different front grille and a slightly souped up engine (twin carburettors).
