I watched Eastern Promises a few weeks ago and I think it's overrated

Rule of thumb:

Any movie the critics rave about is a movie I know I will hate.

I find most movie "classics" to be a crashing bore.

Bringing Up Baby-boring!
It's A Wonderful Life-Should be called, "It's A Blunderful Life."
I don't have much patience for four hour epics.

The whole point of the movie is to let people see Viggo's balls flapping around.

To be fair I haven't seen it but that's why it's on the radar. "Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, but with a Russian accent, and no clothing. THE FAN GIRLS WILL GO WILD!" It's a good time to be a fan girl, given that Danielle Radcliffe showed bared all recently, too, in the "Equus" stage play.

Myself, I'm no fan girl, but I have to admit I liked Die Warzau's "Born Again" music video just because Emilie Autumn got naked in it... XD So I can understand why some people would inflate the quality of "Eastern Promises" just by the excitement they get from that one scene.

I was under the impression few people liked those in the first place :P

"Se7en," by the way, is great...it's the film that inspired "SAW" (which in turn allowed "Hostel" to be made), but it's not torture porn at all...it barely shows anything (in some cases not even the corpses), though it is disturbing as hell despite that.
